oh, i guess you’re right. silly me. so it’s tetris with physics **and** with no walls

Or ceiling!

There’s no ceiling in real tetris. How do the pieces get through then?

Well then, it’s a one directional force field of some sort, because when you hit the top, you lose.

Ahh i see. Thanks for clearing that up.

it’s actually just a simple light sensor. if it stays blocked longer than it takes for a block to fall through, you lose.

Got a tower height of 993. Really. Check the High Scores!

To quote Jagger, ‘You can’t always get what you want.‘, but I’m obsessed with this game, and STILL haven’t gotten the badge.

Its really about luck, you need to pray for the right bricks to come down at the right time. I would just be patient, put the bricks down in the right place (Dont just speed up the falling brick unless you are sure) and in a few tries you will be able to lay all the bricks down.

I did that month ago. Pretty easy impossible badge.

I thought I’d give this game another go since it’s so awesome. Decided I’d go for the lowest 99-brick tower. Thankfully, the game gave me PERFECT bricks to make a huge base. I was quite happy with the overall tower, but then I came and checked what the record was. Didn’t quite beat Lysis =[ I’ll be back when I do.

As you can see, I screwed up quite a bit at the top. It was worse, but MOST fell into place eventually, but the ones that didn’t caused the ones on top to be wonky and so on and so forth. The yellow near the top on the left was the last brick, if you’re wondering how it’s staying there…

Okay, right, viewing both this thread and the other one, I’m inclined to believe I have a buggy version. How can all of your towers stay so “perfectly” stable with HUGE gaps and seams in them? Some block placement or whatever doesn’t even make sense in the screenshots I see.
Take Greekthreat’s screenshot. There’s a gigantic seam in the bottom middle which doesn’t seem to affect his tower at all. Worse, I see a red Z-brick _flying_ in mid-air at the right of the tower.
I’d like to request my game-version to be changed to this one as well.

Before you checked your game version, check if they hacked the game first.

It was kind of meant as sarcasm. I know that was hard to spot.

To be fair, most of these towers aren’t stable. They’re still standing, but they sway A LOT. If anyone can build a 99-brick tower without it swaying at all, or without a vital holding point of the tower being a few econds away from collapse (see the 2 upright purples in the bottom right of my tower above. When they go, the tower goes), chances are they cheated.
But, I agree with you about the red brick in greekthreat’s tower. Unless that was his last brick in, which I doubt considering the tower of reds on top which he probably would have put it on. Greekthreat, what’s going on there?

Order matters a great deal as well, building up on an edge without building the centre and other edge at the same time will create sway that can last a long time even if you avoid vertical seams. The red in greekthreat’s tower is fine, I see that reasonably often, usually when I’m trying to slot something in a gap but sway makes the gap ever so slightly too tight. Still that tower seems ridiculously stable, it’s not particularly well designed.
I assume the yellow L was the last brick you put in thisisnotasmile?
> Its really about luck, you need to pray for the right bricks to come down at the right time.
I can get the impossible about 75% of the time now actually.

I think this is the 2nd best after Lysis.

With a little bit of investigation from google I’ve found a hack method. It turns the whole gravity function off, meaning no sway at all.

That would explain a lot.
