we should be able to vote mods

i think people should be allowed to vote other people to become mods if enough ppl agree on a person theybecome mod who agrees with me/

No one, everyone will just vote for trolls and newfigs.

The admins handpick mods for a reason; they know how to determine one’s behavior and decide whether or not that person is mod-worthy.

Sadly, a system like that could easily be manipulated through the use of alts and it would encourage people to spam in the chatrooms requesting nominations.

k so if mods could vote users to become mods can that happen ?

I believe mods do recommend modly users to the admins.

Process to becoming a Moderator.

1) Mods find someone they think would be a good mod.
2) They Go to the mod only forum.
3) Recommend this person to other Moderators and Admins.
4) The idea is discussed.
5) If there is a positive outcome the person in question becomes a Moderator.

The new Moderator will gain access to the Mod only forums.
The new Moderator also gain some (Not all) Silence/Ban powers.
A little M is placed next to the username.
However if a Moderator abuses the power of being a Moderator they will be reverted back to the average user by Admins.

I believe that is the process.
