Holiday Header (Art Contest)

Okay, we need a holiday-themed header. I’ll see if the Greers can post it up. Anyways, get to drawing. Jindo…?

Actually, I meant that there are none of those things on the Kongregate banner, and there should be. :p

And sure, I’ll add a dreidel. XD If I ever get around to learning enough skillz and getting my idea done in 2 weeks. :p

I’d say the header should be multi-cultural. By this I mean it appeals to all religions. I’d say a Christian thing would be a must, and probably something Jewish. Think: What religions celebrate holidays this year?

Umm, what religion doesn’t celebrate holidays this year? Usually holidays are celebrated once a year, so obviously they are celebrated this year too. O_o.

What’s nice, is that Jewish and Christian holidays go almost together. Hanukkah with Christmas, Easter with Passover (kinda), Sukkot and Halloween, etc.

I am actually trying (and I emphasise, trying) to make a header this time (I say trying, because I felt like trying to make a Halloween Banner, but apparently feeling doesn’t open up a program suitable for art purposes and draw your idea for you :( ), what with my elite rubbish art skills, but I’m not including anything religious, eg; Dreidles, Christmas Trees, etc. Just a wintery look. That way no-one gets offended :D

By the way, I changed the header’s main colours to blue and black, so I doubt this is going to get much attention staff-wise. I’ll post later when I’m finished.

Why can’t it just be winter themed? It’s winter in San Francisco where an office is, so it seems appropriate enough to me. If such a thing was approved, I wouldn’t see a problem with pine trees since they are a classic winter scene picture, but the specific “Christmas Tree” should be avoided.

To be honest I don’t get the big deal anyway. Christmas has little to do with religion anymore, for most of the world that celebrates it anyway, but that is a discussion not really fit for such a thread.

If you ask me, just a tree with lights are ok, i wouldnt think anyone would object.
