There would be 4-5 music channels, one for each main music genre (rock, pop, electronic and so on). Tracks would be played randomly from a playlist, with no DJs and stuff like that. From time to time (let’s say after every 5th song) they would play a recorded announce, like “Don’t miss a chance for XXX card in YYY game! Challange ends on September 29th!”. Radio station would be accessed from a chat box. The only thing I’m scared of are games with no mute button. ;]

Why no DJs or mods or whoever to play music on these stations? Because they are not better than playlists. And playlists are free and safe.

Why 4-5 channels? Because each one of us has a different music taste.

Players could actually run one unofficially, quite easily. It ‘would’ be pretty cool, to have a few DJ’s. I’m actually on air right now for a game I admin. at. :p

Psh, a good DJ can come up with something. It’s mostly about the music, really.

Things to talk about… new games, new upgraded features, contests on the forum, card challenges, yada yada. I doubt Kong will have it’s own sponsored station, but the admin would probably love an “unofficial” official radio station.

That’d be pretty cool to have some of the music from some of the flash games.

The tough part of it would be getting enough DJs with a broadcasting program on their computer. And buying a shoutcast station, I guess.

Kongregate could hire a few good gamers that may be interested as a proper job. Hiring people that Admins probably don’t know would obviously be stupid.

I kinda like this idea of all, or most, or at least a group of players listening to the same music/audition while playing. I’m just not sure what kind of music would this radio station play… Each one of us has a different music taste. Did you think of that ruudiluca?

Yes, Kongregate could maybe have a Radio Station Website. Like the Collabs and (Soon to be) Zombieland Arcade. On the website they could place polls on there. Also that website would be where they let you enter the Competitions.

Usually (at least on our station) we pick out DJs with varied tastes, and set up a schedule so that listeners that enjoy a particular genre (or genres) can tune in at those times.

That is a great idea. But wouldn’t that mean that some people will be unable to listen to Genres they like.
