Quest Suggestions! (updated 6/16)

Just like the Badge Suggestion thread, this thread has been created with the intention of being a place to suggest our own ideas for Quests!

Obviously, any games suggested as part of a quest would have to have badges already.

Fire away!

Quest for zombie badges, quest for epic week badges, buried treasure week badges? AG badges, all badges from certain category, 5 least earned, etc.

Impossible Quest:
Earn the 6 least earned impossible badges.
At the time of posting, that would be:
Ultimate Monster Slayer Badge in Max Mesiria Chp2 RPG
Flower Power Badge in Tarnation
“No One Could Hear You Scream” Badge in The Space Game: Missions
World Domination Badge in MAD: Mutually Assured Destruction
Fear Not the Darkness Badge in colourPod 2: dimensionPod
Frantastic Badge in Frantic

Multiplayer Might Quest: Exhibit your domination over others by achieving the following badges
Killing Spree (Medium, Stick Arena: Ballistick)
Community Crushing (Medium, Kongai)
Went Fast and Won (Hard, Platform Racing)
Bird Brain Badge (Hard, Platform Racing 2)
Defend your Castle Crashers (Medium, Castle Wars)
Victory of the Ancients (Medium, Dinowaurs)
Insert Easy or Medium Multiplayer Zening Badge here (Easy or Medium, Zening)

Quest Name: Premium Games!
Achieve all badges for Zening, Battalion: Arena, Dinowaurs and Kongai!
Yes, I know this medal sucks.

Quest Name: Best Quest Ever!
Get all badges for Remnants of Skystone… when they actually come out.

Quest Name: Shmups Franatic!
Get all badges for Frantic, Frantic II and Pixelvader.
Cube Colossus isn’t included for being such a terrible game.

Quest Name: Jmtb02 Palooza!
Get all badges for all jmtb02’s badged games.

Just wondering, how long can medals be up for, if you didn’t have most of the badges already, some of the suggested medals could take a very long time for players new to the games.

If by unrealistic you mean, boring, easy and achieved by thousands I suppose you’re right.

If by unrealistic you mean, mostly fun, extremely hard and extremely easy if you hack and achieved by thousands of people who cheat, I suppose you’re right.

Why Greg Why? Quest:

Get all of the badges that people have complained about when Greg made them. Stupid Bible Fight.

Ok, here are my first two ideas:

Quest: Attack of the 50-Foot Medal:
Rampage across flash gaming by earning the following badges:
[] Nuclear Eagle – “Do you has a flavor?” (Hard)
[] Seed of Destruction – “Survival of the Fittest” (Medium)
[] The Tickler – “Tickle Me Robo” (Medium)
[] Pillage the Village – “Divine Villager Pillager” (Hard)
[] Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They Roar – “DINO-TASTIC!” (Medium)

Quest: Artistic License:
Prove you’re not afraid of the arts and earn these badges:
[] Areas – “Beyond Clicking” (Hard)
[] Closure – “End of the Line” (Hard)
[] Sprout – “Magnoliophyta Master” (Medium)
[] Don’t Look Back – “To the Underworld and Back” (Medium)
[] Aether – “A Boy and His Blob” (Medium)
[] Synapsis – “Action Potential” (Hard)
[] Anika’s Odyssey – “Anika’s Delivery Service” (Medium)

Textile? Seriously Ukos? Nobody uses that garbage.

Some of my ideas:

Epic Quest — Complete the Epic Week badges, plus some other stuff

Year In Review Quests — Complete badges in the 10 highest rated games uploaded in 2007, 2008 and 2009 (3 separate quests)

Multiplayer Quest — Complete badges in Sacred Seasons, Dinowaurs, Zening, Battalion, etc. (might wait for Skystone on something like this)

Genre Quests — Quests for games in specific genres

Still thinking about this stuff…

Yeah… Not sure exactly what happened there…

I mean, it’s nicely formatted when I try to edit it…

Also I was under the impression that medals would be up indefinitely, but that’s definitely something to think about…

Need Tower of Greed badges for this one: it’s an epicshadow game.

[] Run – “I Ran So Far Away” (Hard) – Sprints and Endurance Runs
[] Cyclomaniacs – “Downhill Domination” (Hard) – Off/On-road Cycling.
[] Gravitee – “Achievement Completionist” (Hard) – Ok, so golfing isn’t an Olympic sport. Just wait ’till 2016!

Quest: Nose to the Grindstone:
Show your iron will and determination by completing these time-consuming challenges:
[] Sacred Seasons – “A Hero is Born” (Hard)
[] Balloon Invasion – “Thunderous OPEC Guardian” (Impossible)
[] Papa’s Pizzeria – “Pizza Psychopath” (Hard)
[] Monster’s Den – “Hardest of Core” (Impossible)
[] Starfighter: Disputed Galaxy – “Warship Destroyer” (Hard)
[] Gemcraft: Chapter 0 – “This Is The Game That Never Ends” (Hard) [Thanks, Bilious. ;P]

If you hit 1,000 (I think) characters while using textile it breaks, it’s too much for the server to handle all that textile.
Use HTML instead.

Good to know. Odd though, I tried switching to HTML before I tried breaking up the text and that didn’t seem to fix it…

Anyway, back on topic, keep those quest suggestions coming! :D

I’d assume it’s possible to edit medals in the same way that badges are occasionally changed, when needed, with the badges earned on the old settings being retained.

Given that, a medal for earning every badge, that gets updated to include each new badge, would be awesome. As more badges get made the harder it’ll be to achieve, but if someone gets there just for a moment it’ll be marked for posterity!

Perhaps the same for each genre section.

I’d never get the all badges one myself, there’s a game I won’t play for ethical reasons, but I’d love for it to exist.

Also, can you tell us what sort of limitations there are on medals? (For example, is a “Get every badge quest” possible, or would the high number of badges and need to update the badge criteria every few days cause a problem.)

I definitely do not want to do a quest for getting every badge on the site. There are just too many issues with that. Sorry guys.

Here’s a suggestion:

Maybe do a quest per genre on the site? ie: Shooting Quest: Obtain these (ten, maybe?) badges from some of the best shooting games on Kongregate!
[list of ten shooting game badges]
