I can’t clear my cache for some reason. My friend list is wrong because of this, it still shows members who no longer are my friends. I tried reloading while holding Cmd* but to no avail. I even tried clearing my browser’s entire cache but the problem persists. I went to Firefox’s preferences and clicked on “clear my cache” but nothing really happened so I’m not sure if it actually cleared it or not.

• I’m on Mac OS and Ctrl has a different use than the one on Windows, Cmd is actually the Mac’s Ctrl.

New update version 1.4.6.7:

v Last night’s changes to the Kongregate website broke the sidebar’s connection/logged in check.

v Also support Cmd + click on the reload button to clear cache, sorry Mac users :)

A suggestion for the sidebar: Add some timers, for example total time spent on Kongregate or time spent on the games in “Most often played games”. If thats’s possbile, that would be a nice feature, I think.

Sorting request:

It would be really nice to be able to sort the badges as follows: “unachieved by most times awarded” and “unachieved by least times awarded”. The information is displayed in the “achievements” tab in the “chat area” next to each game. Not sure if it’s displayed elsewhere on the site.

The list used to generate this filter wouldn’t need to be updated often: monthly would be adequate. For example, there’s a list of the number of times each hard badge has been awarded here: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1/topics/43545?page=2

@Gama11, I’ll have a look at this one, would be nice (but probably very confronting…) indeed!

@bklff3, unfortunately this information is not accessible in any central location that I could use. So until Kongregate finally makes data accessible through XML/JSON or something, features like these can’t be done… (Everything can be done, it’s just not in an acceptable manner…)

Hey… I used to use your Sidebar, but then I stopped.. I want to use it again, but it won’t load badges. I know you said that it would take a while, but the loading symbol is not active to the right of the “x”. There is no loading symbol, and I have been waiting for a while.. I am using the newest FireFox, and the newest side bar.. Any help?? If you can, please post a shout on my profile

Yeah, the same problem has been occurring with me as well. I also have the newest Version of both Firefox and the Sidebar, the Badges are not loaded up, yet the Points and Level that I’m in are. I’m using the Slim Mode Layout if you needed to know.

EDIT: Since it’s not loading up the badges, the Badge Statistics are also Broken.

Every time when I load up my Kongregate Sidebar, it seems like it does not register the new amounts of points I currently have and as well as newer badges. The only way I can count up all the badges is to count it on my own. If you do it on your own, however, you’ll take a very long time to count every badge’s difficulty, so it’s not really easy to do other than trying to copy and paste the amounts you currently have. Lastly, the amount of points needed for the next level currently shown is broken; though once fixed before.

v Yesterdays site changes of Kongregate broke the sidebar (invalid XHTML in the all badges page….). Worked around it for now until Kongregate fixes the actual problem.

I would like to congratulate you on a job well done.

New update version 1.4.7:

v Added “Kongregate HQ Time” box displaying the current time in San Fransisco. Daylight Saving is just a rough average (Mar 10 / Nov 05).

v Fixed a styling issue which caused the badges to take up just a bit too much space.

It would be nice, if you can add how many tickets you have (and if you could copy these stats too).

Too many tickets to keep your profile updated aren’t there The_3lder :D I’ll look into it, shouldn’t be too hard.

To me the addon doesn’t work correctly. It says I have 319 of 319 badges, although there are like 28 pages of badges that I don’t have on the actual Kongregate website. It shows me only the badges I already have…

I newly installed the sidebar, cleared the cache etc. Is there anything I must do to see the complete number of badges?

v Badges are now retrieved from the JSON feed instead of screen scraping!

v Added new “Awarded” stat and views for it, indicating the number of people who have already achieved a badge.

v Brought back Kongregate user switching, with the new JSON feed it allows easy and fast access to your friends’ Kongregate data.

The new JSON feed and all these features that kind of accidentally came along with it come courtesy of Andrew, so leave him a shout if you like it!

About the recent update: when sorting by awarded, it looks like the number awarded is shown, but in most of the games it’s off the side of the sidebar. Add a horizontal scroll bar?

Requesting a feature: it would be awesome if you could add something like I have in my profile (showing points gained and total points of each type of badge, and total).

And if you can do tickets, could you also do Kongai cards in the same way as badges? (I did that in my profile too).

@All pre Firefox 3.5 users, I made the mistake of not checking my changes on the previous release of Firefox (3.0.x), and it just happens to be my luck that this time I implmenented Firefox
‘s JSON interface, which was introduced in 3.5… I’ll work on an update for you all this afternoon.

@Bobogoobo, I’ll add points to the copied stats as well. The ticket’s will be just a simple 1 liner in the sidebar’s header (similar to cards) and an extra line in the copied stats. I don’t think I’ll be scraping Kongregate for more details about the cards, they already have a beautiful album for it, and it’s “just” history, so IMO a link is enough.
