New update version 1.5.2:

v Profile info layout changed on Kongregate breaking some of the scraping code…

v Some style fixes in the badge views (hide button now aligns more nicely)

v Bugfix: The large toolbar icon was 32×32 instead of 24×24.

Small bug: In the upper profile information box : “Points Until Level” is showing “%2: %1” instead of the actual values.

I have the same problem, “Points Until Level %2 %1” :/

New update version 1.5.2.1:

v Bugfix: The 1.5.2 fix for the changed DOM layout did not fix the problems for developers and moderators.

Looks like this addon broke with the arrival of the Left for Dead 2 event?

Is it a problem if all I see at the top is “(avatar) notverygood (green circle” next line “Badges:585 of 829 (70.6%) 0 Friend(s) online”? This was happening beofre the L4D2 event began.

As you might have read 1 post above you both, this exact problem (and a couple of other things) was fixed in 1.5.2.1. You can install the update from my website, or via AMO (though they take a long long time to review updates…)

…But I am using 1.5.2.1? O_o

Perhaps I assumed that you had the same problem as notverygood too soon. Can you explain what appears to be broken in your sidebar? Not that it helps you, but I can load up your profile just fine in my sidebar… Screenshot perhaps?

Please forgive me, I wasn’t being that unhelpful in solving the problem. >_< Here’s the screenshot:

My profile at the top doesn’t load, and there’s a red light. I can see the badges I haven’t gotten just fine though.

I’m having the same problem too. Please, have a look at it, CaptainCaveman.

New update version 1.5.3:

v Load profile info from the JSON feed instead of screen scraping it.

v Bugfix: Most recently/often played games views were broken in the last style update.

v Bugfix: Infected Fury Month added a whisper in invalid HTML to your profile, this whisper caused the cards and tickets counters not to work.

Sorry it took a bit longer then usual for me to fix the problems, but finding a bug that only occurs if you had received an Infected Fury Month whisper from Kongregate (which I haven’t) proved to be quite difficult :)

The fix worked. Thank you for your efforts. :D

That’s exactly what I thought! I’ll miss my sidebar :(!

Kongregate sidebar is still easier to use and with moar functions :)

Ah, the new badges page is just a nice gift for all the stubborn IE users that are not willing to move to Firefox :P

No, I must admit that I was quite shocked when I first saw the new layout. But I think that the sidebar does indeed still have enough advantages over the site itself to remain a very useful tool. So as long as it still has about 2000 active daily users, I wont just quit :)

ps. The site update also included paginated tickets on your profile pages which unfortunately broke the sidebar’s ticket counter. I have already contacted Andrew requesting the counters to be added in the profile JSON feed, otherwise I’ll just have to do a little rewrite. Either way, the update will be available asap.

My friends is frozen, it says people are on when they are not and it doesn’t say when people aren’t on… help?

..my Tickets and Cards number aren’t even displayed. :( ..it’s just blank space.

Refresh the sidebar (button right of spanner) and it’ll update.

I think Kong is doing these things on purpose, just to put me out of business :P

Just kidding of course, but all the screen scraping data, so the data that is not yet retrieved using the JSON feed (ticket/card count, friends/favorites/whispers/shouts) are currently affected by yet another invalid XHTML error on the site. I have contacted Kong about it, but I will try to work around it before they answer me most likely.

New mini update version 1.5.3.1:

v Bugfix: Kongregate added a new stat tracking image, this single IMG element alone contained 5 XHTML errors… Replaced it for now until they do a clean fix.

ps. This version does not yet fix the ticket counter only counting the new 1st page, I’m still waiting a bit longer hoping that Andrew can include these in the JSON profile.

I use Flock which is the social networking browser. I still have Firefox but don’t use it that much and I think I would use Firefox for the sidebar and get my RSS feed on that too.

Since the update notifier is also broken in 1.5.3, you can install unofficial updates, like 1.5.3.1 from the Kongregate Sidebar page on my website
