DO NOT:
Be afraid to speak your mind!

It appears that speaking your mind in a civil, polite fashion can get you muted on Eloir if you question GM Bonzi’s mute decisions.

So, isn’t Bonzi breaking chat rules by making people afraid to speak their minds?

DO:
Respect one another when communicating. If an issue arises, please seek to resolve it through personal message.

Bring your SLO-savvy knowledge into the chat to help any players who may have questions.

Take initiative! If someone has a question or needs assistance with the game, be a good Samaritan and help them out!

Follow and respect ZQGame rules, as they are the ones who have created this game experience for us to love and enjoy.

Say Hello! Shadowland Online is full to bursting with diverse players and there’s many a comrade to be made!

DO NOT:
Swear. Think of the little ones!

Utilize a language other than English in the main World Channel. (this rule does not need to be enforced until technical changes or improvements to the World Channel have been made for multi-language utilization)

Ask another player for their personal information.

Promote or engage in discussions regarding race, religion, politics, ethnicity or sexuality. Similar subjects that also generate controversy are highly prohibited.

Promote games other than Shadowland Online.

Be afraid to speak your mind! Although flaming is highly discouraged and punishable, we always like to see constructive criticism that helps to improve our game.

Note: Game Masters and Administrators reserve the right to enforce and modify these rules as they see fit under varying circumstances.

Constructive Criticism is fine. Arguing about the same thing again and again is not Constructive Criticism.

And only warnings were given for that and to only one person.

Yeah, Bonzi has been abusing his power. People are getting muted and warned for no reason. Hell, I got a warning for simply capitalizing the first letter of a sentence. Bonzi, your reasoning is beyond weak and unjustified. We don’t need an oppressive GM to help make Eloir even more of a ghost town.

You were warned for bypassing censor. Whether it was done by accident or not and it was just a warning how does that stop you from chatting?

Warning and muting people for no reason hampers chat. It’s not my fault this game has a horrible censor system in place.

I think that depends on whether it’s occasionally or excessively use. A few messages in caps shouldn’t hurt, but if that person keeps using caps and it doesn’t appear to be a fit situation for capital letters, I’m pretty sure it’s silence-able (with warning/polite request to stop). With that said, it’s better trying to be less sensitive to capital letters than attacking them. Defeat just one of those and you should be fine. There are many other things in life that’s far more annoying, you’re lucky if your only potentional problem is people typing in caps! All in all, they are just capital letters ;) Anyway one should of course avoid excessive use of caps! It’s possible that spam is more about the content than the writing style, but whatsoever it’s still one of the very basic rules of the internet that capital letters are meant to be utilized where they are fit and doing otherwise has the potential of being picked up as negative-ish behavior. Why am I writing this.. oh yeah it’s that 676MB update on a 1Mbps line… one gets bored lol

Sounds more like a personal vendetta then a minor tweak of the rules to keep the chat in line. Anyone who came to the defense of the person the GM disliked and muted, was “warned”? How about we keep our personal feelings towards players out of our choices to mute or not.
