Delete Character

I have 2 characters and want to delete my low level one because I messed it up. Game limits me to two and I can’t figure out how to delete the other and start over.

On Frost server…

Dear zsoderquist, sorry for that we have no function to delete character, if you want to get a new character, you need to use another account, sorry for the inconvenience.

Isn’t using another account against the rules? So you’re in fact suggesting, that he breaks the rules?

This is something I find rather odd. Is there a reason to not have a delete function? It can’t be difficult to add…??

Think about this: what do they have to delete? And more importantly what NOT?

They don’t just delete a small name from your account, but they have to remove that person from all the places it is mentioned (leaderboards / alliances) and they have to remove all the info of that person, so that if an other person chooses that account name, they start at the very beginning.

Also remember that, if they just delete everything, and the person did something against the rules, deleted the account, and just make a new one to continue doing it, it will never stop. Now if you break the rules, you can “lose” that account(-spot) if you get banned.

Hope I’m not saying anything incorrect and that this help give some understanding to you ppl.

First of all, deleting a character is quite simple to do. If you actually “know a bit about how this stuff works” you know that. :)

The reasons you can’t delete a character is probably partly for the reasons you mentioned, although that could be easily dealt with by having GMs mute/ban the account rather than the separate character.

The actual reason why you can’t delete a character is most likely because you get 100 CG, when you create a new character. If you could delete characters people would constantly delete and create a second character and try to get items from darkness turning.

Wouldn’t that be solved by just rolling over CG & diamonds from the character you delete?

Or, alternatively put a cost to delete of whatever CG you normally get when you start a new character.
