When will we have "skip all animations"?

I am just back from another brawl against ES where the game was lost not because of strategy, decks or anything meaningful but only because I was “autoplayed” by the never ending animations which made my turn skip (or rather it played my HB for me rather than SS).

This was despite having set the turn limit to 10 minutes…

Admittedly I could buy a more powerful computer just in order to play this game – however it does not seem a very reasonable option when all is needed is an option to skip all animations. Not make them faster, smoother, or anything: just skip.

I am not sure why this option is still not available given that I know from chats we other player that it is a common problem.

Thanks

If you set the timer to 5 mins or 10 mins you won’t autoplay if that helps.

You may still auto-play even if you set the timer to 5 or 10 mins. I think skipping all animations is ok, or skipping the animations when the animations have already taken 1 min.

@theboss

As stated in my message I hade already set my timer to 10 minutes and actually I even set the quality to “low”.
It helps but not always.

You must have a TERRIBLE computer to run into the 10 minute timer. I’ve played at friends’ houses with very old computers and I’ve never had an issue with the 10 minute timer for an ES turn.

My suggestions to you to help improve your performance.

1. Do NOT alt tab. I always notice that when I alt-tab a lot or end up doing things on other screens, watching youtube videos, playing other games on kong. My game runs slower because it is no longer the primary process.

2. Exit clash and restart your browser completely. I’ve noticed that if I leave clash open for an extended time (or other flash games) my browser will get slower and slower over time. This isn’t readily noticeable for me except for DAYS later usually but I do notice it eventually. If your computer is already slow then it getting even a little slower can be painful.

Thanks for the tips – I am going to try them.

However the computer is not actually terrible – I suspect the issue has more to do with interaction between gpu and the way the game is coded and/or flash itself (though the coding more likely to be the issue).

Simply put if I play on my laptop (much lower spec than my desktop) you are correct with 10m timer I never have any issue. If I play with my desktop (better spec) I do.
Similarly talking with people in the chat and in the clan there are those that have abysmal performances and those for whom everything is as smooth as possible.

However it always seems to come down to the time take by the animations.

Here’s another tip: I’ve noticed that Clash seems to run faster when it isn’t visible. Try switching to a different (blank) tab, or just scroll the window until the game is no longer visible. It speeds up considerably when I do that.
