0-20m health, double repair from ore. I was getting ready for bed, and had a bunch of AP left; everyone in G8 in my range I’d either attacked three times or was in protection, so I went after their pillar. I was solo hitting it for about 1,000,000 per hit, and dropped it from 25m to 12m before realizing where it was.

That’s where the fun started. =D 12m health left, and me without any reserves left – I mailed about 100 people from different galaxies who had registered damage on Iris asking them to check in with their galaxies to see if they had any oomph to finish the job. 5.6m health left and it’s not registering damage; it’s dropped from 25m to 5m in a couple of minutes, and it’s late at night; hoping to get it gone before anyone notices. A couple of folks log in from my galaxy, and I nab them for the last two hits and boom. 3,000 coupons and a new pillar owner! :)

It was fun doing, fun organizing, and despite G8 carefully positioning itself to get Iris from the get-go, I’m sure this will be met with “We knew it was going down the whole time, we were watching carefully, and we didn’t want that pillar anymore anyway.” trololololol.

It was inevitable g8 would lose their pillar sometime soon.

Everyone was already doing 260% damage yesterday. So what’s the point of throwing in lots of ore to repair a pillar that is doomed to fall any time more than a few people attack it at the same time. Better to save the ore for when they get another pillar they’d like to keep a while I’d say.

Nevertheless, it’s still a nice job to see it was finally taken down after weeks and weeks of everyone whining how unfair it is that G8 was still sitting on Iris.

Let Shelix enjoy whatever joy / glee he feels he deserves. After all, he only grabbed second in personal damage (even at 260% solo) to someone much lower in power but way more active in pillar raids.

Anyway, I’m glad that after all the whining, he finally found a galaxy willing to take him in. Maybe that adage about birds flocking holds true. On the other hand, now that g8’s pillar is down, maybe he’ll find himself kicked. Again. I know I’m looking forward to reading Shelix’s g25 expose!

No. He had %260 damage on his side on the pillar. Snowy logged most of his damage before shelix. So… theres that. It’s not tunnel vision. Nor does he deserve the congrats for the pillar being taken down.

Snowy on the other hand, nice job. At least hes a cool dude.

Snowy logged most of his damage against G8’s pillar while I was still in G8. There’s no contest. My damage all showed up in recent days.

Alienflu, you missed the point by a mile. The glee isn’t in my personal damage, it’s that I organized a multi-galaxy effort to get the pillar taken down in the span of a few minutes.

Ah, and 260% damage was just the 12-13m that I did to it yesterday. Most of my AP has been devoted to helping G25 place well on other pillars over the last week or two – Savi and Amleida usually place over me in personal damage when we’re at it over the same pillars, but for the pillars I’m in on that they’re not, I end up first. =D

I would like to say that the bitter rage from Alienflu is like sweet nectar. =D Almost as tasty as the noob tears of rage that come flowing into my inbox from G8 every time one of them rages at me for breaking their 100 win streak and ruining their chance at a abadge…or for hitting them when they’re down, or for screwing up their reserves for pillar raiding – telling me what an evil person I am for attacking my old friends, how my attacks against G8 now justify me having been kicked from G8. I save those mails and squeeze forth those tears to make a delicious and cool soup that quenches my thirst.

Especially delectable are the fleets named after me – thinks like “Shelixdef” that don’t deter me from battering through anyway and pillaging resources to build my planets. I think I can honestly say that at this point, my planets are being built compliments of G8’s unwilling contributions. G1, 16, and 18 certainly haven’t had to suffer my thrice daily attacks since such a bouquet of raging babies have been laid before me to feast on.

I wasn’t on and I honestly couldn’t care less about g8 or Iris. But doing damage at 260%? Wow… I’m surprised they managed to hang on so long. That’s 13 days after the patch! Almost two weeks! Seriously, Shelix, if not for that patch would you, or anyone else, even be hitting it enough to take it down? IIRC, g1 had to do 160+m just to kill g8’s old pillar. That was a definite highlight so I remembered it. Now g25 is at what, 100m? 110m?

I wish I had screenshots of every pillar you’ve ever raided, whether in 8, or 18, or 25, or wherever. I’m willing to bet there won’t be many at all since you spend so much of your AP in PVP and doing chapter missions and generally looking out for number one, instead of pillar raiding.

How do I know this? I was in one of your former galaxies. You always pleaded “No AP” or “No ships” or just plain didn’t respond when it came time to raid. Then miraculously, when the pillar dies, or when everyone is out of AP or ships, you suddenly come to life and ask for reinforcements. So, yes, I can attest to your character as a player.

As for whatever vendetta you have against g8. Go ahead and hit them as much as you want. It IS part of the game after all, to PVP and farm whomever you can win against. Maybe some of them will drop down enough so even I can hit them.

Anyway, good luck to g25: I’m still waiting to read that expose.

Speaking on Behalf of galaxy 25, I would like to say that we’ve had no problems with Shelix and I hope he has no issues with anyone/anything else in the galaxy. If he has any complaints he knows who to talk to in the galaxy to get the issue taken care of.

Tunnel vision because by no means is number 2 disgraceful. Even if he has extra bonus damage he still did work on the pillar. I never argued he should be congratulated but you didn’t address the fact there’s no value to being condescending.

I’m not sure why tards feel the need to try twisting something into something it’s not? “Because they’re tards” is about all I can think of. :(

Players have a pecking order whether they want to acknowledge it or not, they get defensive by nature when ever anyone is better than them, the players that rarely talk are the players that play for fun, these are a dying breed Shelix, but they exsist alot in games like these, just play have fun and ignore those that seek to breed online hate and discontent.
