Annoying Filter

The filter is starting to annoy me by blocking http, .com, .net and other stuff. We can’t even share a funny pic or youtube link and there’s the filter messing it up. Why are those things even filtered? They just give us the work to copy and paste then remove the “****” for http/.com/.net/whatever.
It also makes the ones not yet acquanquitanced with the in-game filter to think the link has some innaproppriate word within it, possibly meaning the link itself is innappropriate.
I think the filter needs to stop filtering those things. It’s just plain annoying.

a lot of games that have a social opening such as general chat get invaded by advertising bots that just spam links to their websites. This would seem to be an attempt to stop/limit any such activity in this game. Unfortunately this game isn’t nearly popular enough to warrant such a filter and serves to merely annoy its current users more than any would be spammers(who would more than likely pick a 1) more popular game and 2) game where their website could generate services for such as credit farming).

Also I’ve seen pretty popular games with a crazy activity of 35k+ online during the afternoon not having such filters because it does annoy a lot of players. But anyway, as nvillian said, this game isn’t even big enough to have lots of spammers, and if any, they’re so easily muted and such. It annoys more then helps.

It’s dumb…but you can always use kongregate chat.

Actually, no. I’m used to 2/3/4-tab Kongregate Games, including Time World, for it has long cooldowns and I could be doing other things as I play. All my TW friends also check the TW chat regularly, so I only contact them from there. My kong chat is never open in Time World. So I can’t use it.
