Here’s mine. Please ignore the bad paint job. :P

The pebble shiner to the north between the cannon and sniper will be replaced by the bunker and instead will be moved to the northwest corner.

IcyRulez, you might want to push your walls out once you have enough resources to upgrade your town hall to a higher level. Once that is done, you might also want to move your defenses to right up against the walls (which need at least one level of upgrade, something easily done with speed-up building): that way, the enemy is likely to be killed before they get anywhere near your buildings, thus letting you get back on your feet sooner after an attack. Also, upgrade every one of your resource buildings (from silos to pebble shiners) as much as you can, as soon as you can. This will give you a faster recharge rate, allowing you to earn more materials in less time, speeding up your future upgrades everywhere.

One more thing: upgrade your monsters before you attack other players. You can do this by either upgrading your Locker (lvl 2 doesn’t unlock many of the best monsters), or by training your monsters in a monster academy.

> Most of you base builders are forgetting something important: Other players don’t just send monsters inside your square (build-area). They will send in from outside of the build area. If you leave buildings (non-defensives) alone and out of reach of towers, players will just send one monster out to destroy it and hopefully (for them) getting more buildings too. I’m not sure if whether or not you destroy town hall, you still receive loot. So if they dont get loot if town hall isnt destroyed. Focus on protecting town hall more.
Seeing how it doesn’t matter if you destroy the town hall, giving them your resources is a derp a derp move :)

DONT LISTEN TO HIM! UPGRADED MONSTERS ARE NOT WORTH THE PRICE! Well actually, it depends on your level and goo. if your TH level and goo production is good, go for it. Just be sure you can afford it.

>
> However the only thing (other than wall placement) that I feel I know enough about to give others advice on is the overlapping of towers. To do this you have to condense, condense, condense. No tower is very good by itself, especially weaker towers like cannons and snipers. My advice would be to surround your town hall with towers and surround those towers with resource gatherers. Another way to go about it would be to put all your towers in a block and place that block in between your harvesters and your town hall so they cover both. Either way, spreading anything too thin is a bad idea. If you don’t believe me, think of a dam. A thin dam crumbles at the slightest touch but a thick dam with overlapping layers can handle many buffets and excessive pressures with ease.
Jimbo, that’s some really good advice(although i already condensed when my noob protection ran out). But, there are a few things you forgot to say. You forgot to tell DragonArcherZ that he should use the Misc. towers to block pathways to his towers and silos. This is because most people don’t use looters, as their damage sucks. So they will be deterred and waste a lot of time smacking buildings that will not benefit them in any way, while they get potshotted by towers. (i believe Monster Locker, Housings, HCC, and hatcheries have very high health) That’s also directed at you, because your Misc towers are in a clump. This is bad. You should use them to protect pathways.
Also, you forgot to tell him that his Snipers should be on the inside, where they cannot be touched and can safely potshot enemy monsters.
Im not trying to insult your thinking, just giving some insight to people who did not know.

I think most people need to learn to use walls more effectively. The two most effective uses for walls (in my opinion) are for clumping monsters together to that mines and area of effect towers can damage more monsters at once. Also for forcing monsters to walk deeply into your tower range before they are able to effectively attack.
Using walls to force the enemy monsters to walk deeply into your overlapping tower attack areas is especially effective, something I haven’t seen anyone else do.
I posted my yard layout above. While the towers are somewhat spread out covering all the buildings in the yard, for monsters to attack my towers they need to walk almost to the center of my base putting them within range of 8-12 towers. The several layers of walls, makes it very costly to use eye ras to break the walls. The gap relatively short gap placement between walls means that monsters won’t eat through the walls.

No i am lvl 24 but i dont have the big tactical thinking/planning and i dont have the biggest idea on how to arrange it all, in fact im complety blank…

you want to defend ur resources from all sides hedgie because resources are what attackers want. ur town hall, silos, and resources harvesters are what people want to destroy, so make sure you guard them good, and btw people can still drop monsters out side if the big white square

you don’t need to protect all buildings, you need to focus in the town hall and silo defenses first, after it harvesters. In the kixeye forum you can find a lot of tutorials about base defense, you should read it ;).
But for now do what I said and try to concentrate the firepower near of your silos and town hall (try to move your towers near of your silos and th to avoid catapult)

I Dont know if that worked But if it did do you see any weaknesses or anything i should change? (The silos for me seem to be invisible but Idk why)
