Far too many pay-to-win games

I’ve noticed that on Kongregate there seems to be an influx of pay-to-win games: Heroes of Gaia, Time World, Dream World, and countless others, including every Edgebee game. What makes it worse is that they all follow the exact same format. Anybody else have any thoughts on the subject?

One thought. That all MMOs on here do not fit the FREE games label that Kong calls itself. They are all but unplayable without spending cash and shouldn’t even be on Kong let alone the focus of the homepage. The fact that the games aren’t even good as MMOs just makes it worse.

There is no such thing as Pay-To-Win. If you don’t want to pay, don’t. In any “pay-to-win” game, there will be people who have “won” without paying. All that matters is the effort you put in..

Yes lets spend months on a game, not spend any money and keep our pride while some 13 yr old kid pays for everything in the game to do the same thing we did in like 2 weeks…. idiot. Thats what pay-to-win games are, keep the best items, perks, weapons, armour, etc. locked away behind kreds and mediocre items unlocked after 10hrs of gameplay. Think B4 post =0

There is definitely a roughed-up use of the word, free.
Play-to-win games should have their own separate category altogether.

There is no originality here. No change. They are literally all the same click-feedback loop. What annoys me most is how these awful “games” keep making the front page, as if the Kong staff were endorsing them. Is it so hard to put decent games on the front page for once?

Why has this suddenly hit the surface? Kongregate has had Dream World for ages.

Frankly most of the MMO games here suck donkey, the best one is CS portable, no kreds needed for that..
