I bought Lifesteal it replaces Siphonlife even tough I do not see the difference yet

Also now I have reseted my skills, my 14gem costing upgrade is gone why, did not give me a warning neither does it give me a chance to use it again(I have bought it afterall)
Is this a bug or a game flaw?

Edit would it also mean if you get Siphon life 3 it would replace lifesteal?
