How does armor effect the attackign damage of units? How can I calculate that?

Heavy damage on light armor or light damage on heavy armor causes 50% damage.
Heavy damage on heavy armor or light damage on light armor causes 150% damage.

hes telling how
personnaly i think that a machine gun wont do much damage on a tank, but on human flesh,
and medium I HAVE NO IDEa

so heavy armor does:
150% on heavy armor,
100% on medum
50% on light?

Light does:
50% on heavy
100% on medium
150% on light

and medium does 100% to all armor types?

Plus I wonder why a sub would have light armor. I personnaly think it should have medium armor

Not really … Subs are lightly armoured compared to other combat naval vessels … they would more or less sink otherwise. Also, they have a bunch of vulnerable spots which could be reflected by “light” armour.

it’s so that the hunters can pwn them even if they attck first- altought i truly think hunters might need a damage boost…the only thing they can do is light amored planes and subs- thats it! make them slightly cheaper ORR slighty stronger so they can actually kill off a battleship with less than 15 hp

Armour (defence) and weapon (attack) are two different things ..

To see the attack /defence type & value of various units, you can look in the top box in the ‘build’ window or in the ‘details’ bar at the bottom of the map window (when you click on a unit)

I understand how to tell what their attack is worth and the defense level. I was wondering how the armor types effect this. Am I correct with my previous post:
