We’re going to use this thread to track official news from the Urbansquall team. If its not from urbansquall, yayitsandrew, rustcrumb, timpopsuperstar, or scarmichael, it is not official. :)

REGULAR SERVER MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:

The server will be taken down every Sunday evening at 3AM PST for some maintenance. This is vital to keeping the server running effectively and efficiently. It is an automated maintenance schedule, so it will occur each Sunday at the exact same time and the down time should last no longer than a few minutes. If you’d like to check what the time is in PST, you can always check out this link

As of today, this is officially how the “Game too short” thing works. This is subject to change in future releases. We’ll probably add a similar explanation in the game that will stay more up-to-date with any future changes.

When you start a game, the server keeps track of how long you have been playing. At the end of the game, if your game was less than four minutes long, you will get a “game too short” message. We impose this time limit to prevent people from grinding against the AI for items.

If you are seeing the “Game Too Short” message in a game that was more than four minutes long, that is a bug. Please report it, following the usual bug-reporting guidelines.

You said you wouldn’t add new units but are you adding new terrain?

For sure. And new units isn’t off the table, it’s just not something we’ll be doing any time soon (we’ve got more things we need to tackle first :) ).

Anything new be sure to keep us informed. This thread was a good idea.

Ahh so this means my new units forum could have a purpose other than letting people’s imagination go loose

lol, its kinda joking cos i dont bold think urbansquall, is gonna make any changes to battlion arena until ghost is being released i check kongregate everyday to make sure if it is released!

‘Game too Short’ I had to leave for the doctors, right? So I accidentally left the game on. When I got back, around 2hrs passed, so I finished up my game. Problem is, I still got the ‘Game Too Short’ Message. Fix plz. :/

Most likely, the AI took over for the opponent, and the actual game ended well before you got back.

well, actually, that happens because when you leave the game on for too long you lose connection to the server so basiclly it wont count that as four min

yeah its been way to long since the last update. u always say your working on it but i really haven’t seen that many result. the only new thing i ever see is user created maps. oh and bye the way its kinda cheap how when a new map is rated for the first time 5/5 it automaticaly takes 1st place. u should replace the rateing system with some kind of point based rating. every time its rated it either get points or gets nothing. the map with the most points is number one. ex: 5/5 stars= 50p 4=40 3=30 2=20 1=10 0=0, or 0= negative ten or somthing.

Might want to make 1 and 2 negatives as well, actually.

Just to clear up some confusion, escaping from a ranked game is not possible. If you quit a ranked game in any way (closing browser, refreshing the page, etc.) you will be given a ranked loss and your opponent credited with a win, even if you see the “Match too short” screen.

If that’s not the case, then it’s the result of a bug. If you find that your opponent surrenders in a ranked game and you are not credited with a win, please send us a bug report including the date and time of your game and the names of all players involved. Thanks!

Its impossable for me to get on a ranked match in the first place.

players without premium should be able to play more maps, most of the time there is only one 4 player map at a time.

Also i have noticed that it is rare that premium players are playing regular maps and i have never seen an elite player, are they all playing locked maps or are there not enough premium players

dbruser, when any playes any map itl show up on the game list. u should become friends with a premium or elite so u can get acses to maps
