What happens when typical Joe tries to craft Galaxy Sword. page 2

The whole point of this topic is that “typical Joes” don’t have the patience to actually obtain a Galaxy Sword. We’re talking nearly half a billion gold here, far out of the range of anyone but the most determined.

On the verge of getting my first — 9000 levels is really nothing compared to it — I really have nothing to add other than to say that the numbers are really so vast that it really is beneficial to plevel… up to a point. I leveled almost entirely farming iron and gold and of course buying silver swords. Power level till you can do 4-6, then 7-1, in just a few seconds (Khobbit is fun for this) and by the time you’ve got the mats, epic stones shouldn’t be a problem. Killing 2 birds w/ 1 stone — leveling and harvesting. BTW unless they change reincarnation (rebirthing sounds awfully painful) it’s not worth it at all — I’d like to see that changed. My mistake, but didn’t want to farm Galaxy mats at lvl 9000+. Seemed undignified somehow. :)

Removing the Epic Blades will just make gold harder to come by, so just use any gold+ you can get. Epic Blades should be the first priority to speed the process up.

I thought about items from achievements, mainly 4 Galaxy Stones and an Infinity Blade, they certainly seem to reduce the gold cost more so than the items required, but since you won’t have the EB3s for the first GS then you’ll be short of gold, so it should still work out.

All present company excluded of course. Now I can get rid of that damn thief ring while I farm further … ’doh. Hoping updates come soon!

Isn’t rebirthing worth it for the 2000 crystals and the Artlogic 2 badge?

To be honest, I’d say not. The badge is nice, but for whatever purpose you’re using it for, can be replaced easily, i.e. you’re not going for exp, gold, or items ever at the same time. And the 2k crystals is what … a single mob you’re not going to use? At least that’s how it has been for me. got Aeon for 2k and while nice eye candy, can’t see how he’s indispensable.

It’s for two kinds of people: the people who want to get everything without having to pay real-life money, and the people who don’t want to end up at level 9999 and therefore stop getting free energy and action refills from leveling up. The latter type should, by all rights, include anyone who wants to actually play the game.

I saw updates being mentioned..and crystals.

If the bits we saw will indeed become the part of the game then…well..we’re gonna need more crystals.
As I doubt that a lot of new content will be gold-purchasable. Aside of more CoT.

I don’t think that is a fair assumption. Obviously the DEV’s plans to take this to a mobile platform indicates that they’re planning for it to go big. Their history definitely points to making crystals a shortcut, not a end all be all to ultimate power. I’m guessing that it’ll be a mix, but that in the end free players will still be able to enjoy the game to its completion without any more crystals than is already supplied.

Actually I think the most annoy thing is not to farm gold but to buy silver sword, just imagine how many silver sword you have to buy one by one

I’ve already bought well over a thousand. I do think that a x10 and x50 option would be good for purchases, just like you have for assigning stats.

Hey Vlax, what do you think of spending some time farming 9-6 for Black Matter? I know you can get it as a guaranteed drop in CoT II, but that doesn’t give you any gold. I know you could just farm some other quest for gold instead, but…

Buying in general sucks in this game considering the quantities needed. Just to pour salt in an open wound is the quantity cap on items. Needing to buy 13k silver swords 1 by 1 to 99, crafting them, then starting again for the next batch… :X

It would be 5,000 battles for 176 million with gold gear, or 3,333 + 80 million with item gear. Considering that you get several million over the required gold just farming the other items, plus any extra from the arena then it would be best just sticking with the 400 battles from CoT.

Is it a good idea to get some Epic Armor III to help with level grinding?

This assumes you’re using all the +Gold items you discuss. Some people may not have those items, or may find they cannot farm efficiently with them equipped. It also assumes you’d get all of your Black Matter from 9-6.

My thought was people may find themselves in a situation where they won’t have enough gold. At that point, they could either farm purely for gold, or they could farm 9-6 to make up whatever gold they need while getting some of the Black Matters they’ll need.

I’m especially looking at people who don’t power-level to 6,000+ before starting farming.

The idea is to play 10-6 without rapid-farm, get some epic stones, and build some high-level gear so you can rapid-farm.

If I’m not ready for 10-6, I might farm 9-5, 9-6, and 10-5 for angel/moon/demon stones, and pay the $5M to combine them into an epic stone.

I just saw the upgrades this newest version introduced for the Galaxy Sword. I haven’t played all the new levels, but even if you farm 11-6 instead of 10-6 for Epic Stones, gold looks like it is going to be the largest obstacle. But I don’t know, maybe there’s something in chapter 12 that will help ease that some.

I’m sure anyone farming GS is going to go the extra length for the much easier to obtain and much superior upgraded version of the GS, so gold is easily the biggest priority now. Still stick with item+ when farming Iron and Platinum Ore.

You need 700 million gold for the upgraded version of the Galaxy Swords, on top of the GS cost of 480 million you’re looking at close to 1.2 billion gold for one.

12-2 can be farmed for Gold Ore.
12-5 can be farmed for Demon Stones.
12-3 can be farmed for Epic Stones and more gold than 10-6.

It’s well worth farming the upgraded Galaxy Swords before making a 2nd one because it takes 16.5k battles with 6 EB3 on 12-3 to get the 700 million gold and required materials, it would take 18k battles + buying all the items for a 2nd GS, so definitely get those additional 5 EB3s before crafting your GS, it not only helps greatly when making a 2nd GS, it helps greatly when making the upgraded GS.

Sadly, I have to admit I haven’t been able to beat 11-6 yet, so I don’t know what chapter 12 has to offer. I’ll wait until I’ve gotten through that chapter before working on any numbers.

You get ~390 plats farming 7-1, with the huge difference in gold from farming 12-2, more than double, stacked further with gold+, then it would be better farming there, and just running an extra 600 battles on 5-5.

7-1 = 46,511,088 gold
12-2 = 93,838,160 gold
Additional battles on 5-5 = 600 battles and 3,868,800 gold

Since you’d be saving 600 battles when farming 7-1, if we use those farming 12-3 with 6 EB3 you get an extra 25 million.
So you’re saving 22-23 million gold when farming 12-2 and 5-5.

And that’s with using item+ on 12-2, you want to use gold+ instead for maximum efficiency. Even with 6 EB3 you get 258 million gold by the time you get all 2,550 Gold Ores. Including every other item you’ll still be far off 1.2 billion gold.

Just adding all the new stuff up, as well as some more thoughts.

The best farming quests are:
4-6 (Iron Ore, Moonstones come with them)
5-5 (Platinum Ore)
12-5 (Demon Stones)
12-2 (Gold Ore and gold)
12-3 (Epic Stones and gold)

For 4-6, 5-5 and 12-5 use as much item+ as possible to get as close as you can to the drop rate cap.

For 12-2 and 12-3 use gold+

Since 12-5 has quite a lot of HP you would need a damage dealing setup to save you a lot of time, the saved time can go into farming 12-3 for much faster gold. If possible keep as much item+ on alongside the damage setup to get away from this quest asap, because you won’t be farming it quickly, at least until you have a few UGS already. You’ll need about 90-100k attack to kill it in 2 hits with Sera!

12-4 onwards seems too hard to farm without already having a bunch of UGS or its counterparts, but once you do you could look into farming them for gold and Epic Stones too.

I took 7-1 Gold/Plat Ore, 9-6 Black Matter and 12-2 item+ into consideration but it works out better using gold+ when farming Gold Ore and getting Black Matter from CoT then spend the battles you would have done on 9-6, playing 12-3 for gold instead. 12-6 Black Matter is certainly out of question. I explained 7-1 in my previous post.

Farm your UGS or its counterpart before farming a second GS, it’s easier to obtain than a 2nd GS and the benefits are much greater.

Have 6 Epic Blade III as backups when you create your Galaxy Sword, they’re going to help you greatly when farming the UGS and additional GSs. If you have Artlogic Badge II or already own some UGSs then subtract 1 backup EB3 per. Don’t replace the 6th Epic Blade with a Galaxy Sword, you’re losing out on 10% gold, 861 battles worth, wait till you have your UGS!

If you can already create your GS but don’t have the 6 EB3s as backup then wait it out, it’ll be difficult, but it’ll save you thousands of battles, it’ll allow you to get your UGS faster, and it’ll help you to get future GSs faster too. If you create that GS straight away then you’re going to have to farm another 6 EB3 straight after to get your UGS faster anyway, it would be a complete waste. You could probably get away with farming 5 EB3 then using the GS until you get the 6th.
