June 18, 2012 Update Build Notes (locked)

New Map
A new map, Moon Base was added!

Moon Base has been restricted to players with rank Master Sergeant or
above. However, there is also a version of Shuttle Bay available to
only Sergeant or below, so new players don’t have to worry about
facing pros.

Boosts
Almost all boosts are on sale. They are now 50% off to say thank you for playing and sorry that the new weapons are taking so long to release. (Cash and XP boost and Immediate Respawn are the same still.)

Visual Effects
Various visual effects were improved. (We have a fix for the black vortex bug.)

Tech
The tech turret no longer gets reset when moved. If a tech deploys a
turret to new location when an old turret existed, the new turret will
be the same level as the old one. Essentially, tech can move his
upgraded turrets now instead of overdrive blasting if he wants.

Bugs
The E-R Scout dash/Tank glitch has been fixed. We patched to stop Speed Hacks as well.

Other bug fixes.

Moon Base it’s a chaotic and fun map to play, really enjoying it so far.
Also, you can still shoot twice with the rail gun.

Loving the Moon Base map, but the balancing could be better. (Lft’s are super pro compared to the others: It’s like a noob killfest.)

Also, could you please PLEASE PLEASE fix the chat configuration bug? I, along with many others I’m assuming, sometimes hit the chat button right before a pro kill or in mid combat, and stand there like idiots wondering why they won’t attack or move while they get dope sabered to death in a millisecond.

I tried clearing the chat configuration, as well as switching it to a different button, but to no avail. It would be awesome if you could allow chat configuration. It would take out a lot of frustration for many players.
You’re gonna like the ways it works, I guarantee it.

I have some real problems with Lunar. I don’t want to prejudge it, I’ll probably play a day or two more before typing up some thoughts about it.

The speed hack thing is messed, if I get a bit of lag then I get kicked because of it.

O_o A lot of Lft’s are thinking the opposite, the “noobs” get onto there 8-12 person team and massacre us.

We’ll look into lag triggering the speed hack kick.

I’d be interested in seeing more reports of team scores.
