What is your favourite Class?

The title says it all. I personally chose to go with Ferric. Discuss your favourite and maybe why it’s your favourite.

The aeronaut by far. Craigs are hard to use and ferrics are worthless because their low stamina and short-range.

Ferric. they’re fast, have a very good downward attack and can climb through steam.

Yes, all have the same stats, but not all stats are as effective:

Aeronaut:
Stamina: High
Skill: Low

Ferric:
Stamina: Low
Skill: High

Crag:
Stamina: Average
Skill: Average-high

The stats are the same, but 1 aeronaut skill gives a much lower skill boost than 1 ferric skill.

Aeronauts are easy to use. They’re maneuverable, and they’re sorta strong. It’s probably only my favorite because it’s the first one I used.

Ferrics ‘by far’ are not useless, yeah in coop they arent TERRIFIC, but most of the time they’re easier to get used to. Aeros have the easy controls to zoom around in, but heck by the time you finish shooting that enemy at long range. I’m already done with 2-3 of em. Also to note that disputing whats “the best” is a matter of opinion with this game. I personally find crags to be useless if not in Coop because of small cramped places that always pop up in this game.

Exactly.

I really like crags, but my vote goes to Ferric. That class is just so easy to use, and clearing rooms (at least in singleplayer) is a snap, super fast. I actually don’t see the huge draw that aeronauts have… If I keep my distance it takes forever to kill anything (which I don’t have patience for after playing a ferric) and then getting close to get those more powerful shots is just the same as being a ferric. The steamthrower is good, but it isn’t more powerful than any other normal attack by another class, and crag’s range is just as far (near as I can tell). Plus I tend to get hit more waiting for the steam to rebuild (particularly after steamthrower) than I ever did playing up close with a ferric.
Finally the utter lack of a downward attack in the air totally kills it for me, ferrics have the dive and crags have that awesome sweep, (I probably use that more than the standard attack.)

Sorry, I don’t mean to aeronaut hate, I like to play all 3 classes, but that is my opinion out there :D

and also, Ferric ftw, with Aero in second. Crags? meh.

It’s not that the amounts aren’t the same, it’s that steam takes more skill than climbing.

fav class is ferric! they r fast and powerful and can go through steam!!!! + the strong dive attack!

Having gotten to level 40 on all three, I’d have to say Ferric. They’re fun to play with, easy to maneuver, and are fast.

I love the Ferric the most, then Aeronaut, then Craig. I got my Ferric to level 40 in practically no time, and of the other two classes, I just found that neither pleased me in the way Ferrics did.

I like the Crag, then Ferric, then Aeronaut. I’m not a big co-op person, so I’m not rating them on that.

I like the crags because they have a semi-long range attack that does full damage and is easy to direct, I also just love swinging around with the hook. The sweep from the air is also useful for hitting fast enemies while avoiding getting whacked.

Ferrics are second because, though they are fast, they can’t hit from a safe distance like a crag. Also, their dive is useful, but it leaves the Ferric exposed in some situations. (or maybe I’m just no good with it?) I like the climb through steam and speedy movement on ceilings.

Aeronauts are dragging the bottom because they have a ranged attack, but it sucks, at a decent range (beyond a Crag’s reach) it doesn’t even do half damage. The “steamthrower” works well, but sucks your gauge dry in a hurry. The jet pack is nice, but I can do alot more with the Crag’s hook in the same amount of time and not worry about falling to my doom.

well i choose the crag, i found it easyer to manover, but thtas just me.
I cant get used to the other classes now.

I choose Aeronaut. Because they can use their jet packs to go higher and they are long ranged attackers not liked ferrics.

Crag. I love the grappling hook, plus I just seem better with it than the other two. Aeronaut is a close second though. I suck with Ferrics.

Crag. It’s the fastest at everything except falling and attacking, and the attack range is better than ferrics.

For me, Crag, its the most rewarding when you really get a handle on the controls.

I have only played as the non-NG Ferric class so far, but from what everyone else has said, I think I’d probably like them the most even if I had tried the other ones. They may only have a close range attack, but they’re like frigging ninjas, for God’s sake!
…although, they are quite annoying to use in the maze sections.

Aero is my main and level 40… So I think it could be my faverouite. But I do love my ferric(16) I just can’t remember how to do Camp Calluna’s stupid lifts :D
As for my crag (level 6) He’s quite a legend, and maybe it’s my faverouite class….
