Looks pretty cool for people willing to pay, but is treading dangerous ground considering the flash gaming communities’ shunning of almost every single game with subscription offers.

Eh…I really enjoy the fact that you’re adding new features, but in all honesty unless its really reasonable you might lose me completely, unless I stick around for the Official start of this game to help new players. Solely because I can understand classes, techniques and special items being pay to play, but I dont think that actual gameplay value should be sold. I see the new Co-op being interesting, but I’m probably gonna be one looking for someone that paid to play with. I’m excited to see all the changes that are happening, but its kinda the same way I look at runescape. I really hope that the remaining areas to play in are free as well as the tons of quest you add in later. I think its rather funny that I’ve heard the Dailies are for the guard and I think that’d really kill me since once you complete the game people will just quit unless there is a trading system or coop mode for the missions or something.

I agree totally with what Salem says ^^ My brother is a member on Runescape… I have an innactive freeplay account, i see where this could end up going…
Maybe i didn’t read through enough and missed it, but i don’t think you put forward an actuall price yet:
I know that i can’t really spend many Kreds on a Subscription feature… i spent a bunch on clothes and float stuff sure, but that lasts… I don’t want to play really great Skystone for a month, then not make any money the next month and lose what i’ve paid for;
I wouldn’t mind a one off buy for Nidarian Guard rank, or a Subscription where you could buy 3 months or a year in advance so you don’t need to worry about budgeting it in each month….
Also i was wandering if the Special coins would be additional drops/rewards or Kred purchased as well, One a day doesn’t sound like it would be enough on it’s own :/
Anyways,Subscription aside I love the idea of the whole update, and the Pictures look really good. Glad to hear stuff is still happening on this game :)
Till the next time, 7ACK14

Hey Guys! Thanks for the feedback! 7ack14, you’ll be able to buy on a per month basis, or bundles of multiple months.
Also, we have an update on the blog which talks more about Dailies and Class Coins!

I think its a bad idea to make it pay to play, because most people on kongregate like playing FREE games, and while the core game will still be free, to get a game actually worth coming back to again and again, you have to pay money

I just refer to my post at the comments (~ current news entry as Hawkey):

Coming to the “Kongregate” stuff – I don’t know what to say. I thought this game wouldn’t depend on a plattform, in other words it’s not exclusiv just for the member of one site, and just be written in Flash or so. If it’s the opposite [=> so you allready signed a contract with the webmasters etc.] – then you definetly have to think about asking for payments since you probably allready got something from the “future hosts” Oo

I’m sure if it was ready it would be out by now :P From Matt’s Twitter:
Just got player muting working in Skystone, and pre-coop chat. No playable updates yet, but we’re working on it!
