You know how mimics sometimes drop firewood and coal? Maybe the energy comes from a steam turbine powered by firewood and coal collected by rooks and citizens. It’s just a thought.

Well there could be 3 three main charachters each one having its own personality. Charachters would be all 3 classes Ferric, Crag and Aeronaut. Thats all from me

I like the idea of a movie, but good luck….
.
The aeronaut should be smart and friendly. Goody Two Shoes.
Ferric should be “ninja” and independent. Ditcher.
Crag is strong and bad-ass. Rage Nerd.

if you make a video, let it contain the part where the player meets its first rook mimic. let it be short, and let the main character be CREEPED OUT! after the thig dissolves right before a final blow.

Flag Post

maybe let the player choose the character that is the main character?
then we can have different scenes and endings.
and of course, let the title be “the remnant of skystone” plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
or else you can do as you want. just a pair of ideas.

i’d really like if the movie gets a game in the extras section with a “game” where those things that can bash you and they are plants(idk name) are attacking and you counterattack by hitting the directional buttons. and at the end the planthings die and the games over.

That’s more cyberpunk than steampunk.

Good point. But then how else would the energy get to the Ether Tubes? This is Nidaria. It floats in the air. Wires wouldn’t really work. Any ideas? Unless we could fire the steam with a cannon similar to an aero’s blaster cuffs only much larger and more powerful. The steam could turn the generator’s turbines and produce the energy. Any objections? The energy shipment could work as well, with large rechargable batteries that hook up to the generator. Or something.

Doesn’t Nidaria have its own generator on the Boiler deck?

The problem is that it is Nidaria that is loosing power.

Flag Post

That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. “Losing power” is for when you have finite energy resources (such as a battery). When you’re talking about a generator, you either have power or you don’t.

Flag Post

The ether tubes on the boiler deck use power, so they need to get power from a generator probably on the surface.

Flag Post

The tubes get power from the generator in the Boiler.

Flag Post

Maybe they ran out of fuel and their stockpile is surrounded by Mimics and Haze?

Flag Post

They could need to carry ether tubes with them to survive long enough to kill the fungus’s blocking the stockpile/generator?

Flag Post

Sure. That would also impair the Ferric, because he needs 2 hands to climb and such.

Flag Post

Ok, lord0216, if you payed attention, personal ether tubes wouldn’t be powerful enough to stop the haze because they are too small (according to in-game sources) the reason they can’t be bigger is because of (you guessed it) the POWER supply, the bigger the tube, the more power it needs to run, tubes big enough to clear pockets of haze are going to require a power supply that would be too large to carry. Even the “portable” either generators seen in game are connected via cables to the main power grid. Another thing to consider, wireless power transition isn’t “cyberpunk” as it was invented by Nikola Tesla around the year 1891, so you could pass it off as “steampunk” if necessary, even though a majority of people still consider it a “futuristic” technology.

We’re not talking about a radio here. We’re talking about massive wireless power transmission over large distances, something that was not feasible with 19th century technologies.

They say that small Ether Tubes don’t repel MIMICS. Haze is repelled by all amounts of pure Ether.

Cyberpunk is a subgenre of within science fiction. It usually deals with a dystopian future centered around digital technology. Think of movies like Blade Runner, The Matrix, or Robocop. That’s pretty much what cyberpunk is.

Why don’t we make a twist, like one of the main members is like secretly helping mimics.

Flag Post

Looks like the idea came forth no?

Flag Post

The secretly helping mimics part is what I was thinking as well, but maybe it would be someone higher up, like the Admiral. And then they would probably be killed or eaten or whatever Mimics do….

Flag Post

Maybe the mimics made the admiral or who ever is the betrayer like make the ship crash, and the main members have to escape and help the rookies escape, but they forget the admiral, and before it c

Flag Post

rashes the admiral puts more than 50 mimic worms and a bunch of fung eye mimics soround everybody/
