The old Suggestions thread has been pretty much dead for ten days, so I created a new one. Anyway, here’s my suggestion:
Non-static animals-By this, I mean animals should be able to move independently from the player. I also think certain animals should have abilities/commands that can be activated. For instance, dogs aren’t exactly useful for gathering resources, so, what about giving dogs abilities regarding the defense of your town? For example, when a dog becomes fully mature, it should be able to bark, scaring bandits out of their hiding places. Or even give it the ability to chase bandits out of town entirely, free of energy. Grazing animals could eat weeds/grass debris without using energy. Pigs could dig for you, et cera. I know it’s probably not going to ever be implemented, because of the work it would take, and the fact that it would probably cause more lag, but it’s a suggestion I hope the developers at least consider.
Yeah. To balance the abilities, we should have a cool down on them akin to the cooking cool downs, we should have a decreased limit size, and make them only available after the animals in question are fully mature. And things such as meat from animals should only be available from selling them, instead of as random drops. For instance, a baby cow = 1-3 meat, maturing = 5-7 and mature = 8-10
