Ok heres a Debate.
Im a Freaking Gun lover, And these New additions of Gunjacks and Gatling towers have Caused me to Go Insane.
The gunjacks Act like a Armored Ranger, And the Gatling towers have a Faster fire rate than Anything else before.
And although it lacks in damage, I feel that the addition of gatling towers could Even the defense a Bit more when grouped with other towers.
So should we have the addition of Gatling towers with our Current defense?
they seem to fare very well in raids,and I bet with Flame bunkers, And archer towers next to them, Attackers would have a hard time breaking through without a few rivets…

if we had the gatlng guns upgraded to max then no swordsmen or rangers or mage can survive such an encounter like that so no purpose of producing them,so its best we don’t have gattling guns.

But what about Rivets? A rivet escort with soft units might be able to take the fire…
And if we were given gatling guns, Im pretty sure the damage would be nerfed and the fire rate kept the same.

gatling guns are hardly powerful already,they’re speed compensates for that. otherwise they probably have the same DPS are archer towers, just weaker and faster. plus more protection is what this game needs, towns are too easily conquered because of lack of power from towers.

lightening totem i also agree with it,synap made a mistake removing them after all they are the only towers that prevent citadel rushing by solo heros,it was a important structure though its destructiable its usefull damm usefull.but gatling gun i dont want it other wise at lvl 8 or higher the gattling guns can wipe out armies with ease.so no use of low hp units.

Yeah, Sure, I miss those Super charged Totems, But think about it. Those gatling sentrys could be able to Deal MASSIVE damage towards higher leveled players, and have lower lvled players challenge them.
What if the Gatling towers were Expensive to build and have Lower health than the mage towers? Would they be overpowered still?

Level 4 Gatling Sentry:
9000 Health
1 Attack Speed
11 Range
75 Damage
2.0 Burst Radius
20% Burst Damage
I totally agree that this should be an addition to our defences as they currently kinda suck. Syn’s been looking for a way to improve home base defences and added that could be a good start, along with adding armor to buildings (armor was an already planned thing). The tower’s stats should obviously be changed, and more levels should be given to it.
Say, make it a cit. 4+ tower that permits 2 more upgrades per cit. level (so up to 10 like the others) and give it a max of 80~100 attack at level 10. Also, maybe make it so that we can have a max of 3 like mage/web towers.
What do you guys think?

We’ve been discussing ways to improve defense here. As Alexinos said armor is a start and we’ll see how effective that is.

well Im aware of the armor addition, But all that armor will do is slow down the inevitable….
I still believe those gatlings will come in handy.
Also nice suggestion alex.

The Gatling towers will be effective I think if we can get 5 of them. That with armor buff will make most towns at least 2 attacks hopefully.

5 is too many. 3 well-placed gatlin guns can do an excellent job, especially at higher levels. Don’t forget, they hit once per second.

Yeah, I know how you feel, lack of symmetry hurts me too, hence why I actually came up with a symmetrical way to put those 3 towers :P well same problem here i cant find a way to arrange the towers on all four corners but the extra one bunker and archer does the trick.found it after changing the base layout more than dozen times plus had to be carefull to make it mage proof.
