R.E. objectification;
Human beings are sex objects, visually. That doesn’t detract from who they are as a person, their personality, their skills, their contributions to the world or anything else. It’s a separate thing, but it’s a natural and unavoidable thing. The enjoyment of sexualised images is NOT sexist for these reasons.

Meh… You do realise that’s it’s because all this fuss about the current Kongai girls that the new ones are so modest, right?
And yes, the knights all have either a Bishonen look, or are hulking brutes. And the pirates have some really charismatic dudes… But still, I see no problem with the gals… Someone mentioned Ivy from the Soul Series, well, she’s also one of the most fleshed out characters in that series, and actually has a decent storyline… Maybe Kong should try this: longer, more in depth, descriptions of the characters might help them look more like characters and less like manequins…
As for the optional clothes thing… I think it would be great, like diferent versions of the same card. They could do this for the next expansion, maybe (after the one that’s coming by this year’s end, that is)

As for the optional clothes thing
Am I the only one who finds that dirty?

Frogger, you’ll have to elaborate on that…
Several fighting games give players the option to change a character’s model. And some CCGs have cards that are only cosmetically diferent from one another.
Unless you’re talking about my bad grammar. I should have written “extra clothes”, but hey, give me a break, I’m not a natural english speaker.

i think this topic was started out of a sign of respect… women are kinda human just like guys… does anyone on here wanna see a pic of popo in just a speedo on and a… well, yeah
this topic was started out of respect for women and the right to have none-nearly-naked women on the images we see.
just because such exists in our world, and girls have abused particular aspects irl to get good results, does that mean that such is correct to do? does that mean such is particularly right? i bet when a kid steals when he’s hungry you’d think he shouldn’t be stealing, it has a similarity… less abusive of aspects more forceful, but it’s a similar idea.
“you people” (used loosely, thus the "" ‘s) just refuse to see the other side, the side were you try to see everyone with dignity and try to be respectful just b/c we think it’s right.
on a related note, i think this person is also young (the starter of the topic) and it considering the age factor, 13-year-old’s get on here, and i know exactly what 99.9999% of all people think today about such, but imo, i don’t find it ridiculous to hold off such topics of thought for a few more years.

sorry for double post, but i’m a slow reader and i wanted to get my ideas down on the basic topic before i lost my thoughts – you can see the many basic ones i had in each section but i have a bit more to say
for one, never actually said but i add +1 like to this idea, sounds cool IMO, but i just wanted to also say, mask_and_mirror, i too, see where you’re coming from, and i understand your view and how you can see it but i ?choose? mine, i like the way i see things, and i can understand (or at least) try to see all sides, not just say “ZOMG BOOBIES!!! i like thus show i like!!!” imo, i find that piggish, but i am a guy and i know where guys are coming from – just a personal decision that such thoughts are f’d up and wrong… i understand mask_and_mirror’s natural-ity argument though and i just wanted to suggest that everyone tried to look at all sides…
(going to sound a bit corny) there are all different sides to every argument and to everything one can have an opinion on there is infinite ways to see it like viewing the center of the circle, what point on the circle you decide to stand is your opinion and just how your past and history and background, etc. has made you to see things, instead of telling your view on the center and how it looks, try removing yourself adn looking at the “plane” from a 3rd person omniscient view and seeing how EVERYONE is seeing it… with such viewing, you might be able to realize the connotation behind how people see things and mean things…

Once I was a 13 year old and I saw cartoon-style pictures of women with large boobs. I was totally traumatized by that experience and I can only see women as sexual objects now.

I’d just like to reiterate; for a heterosexual man to be tantalised by the female form is not sexist or disrespectful at all. If that’s ALL you see a woman as, there is a problem. I’m totally anti-sexist, I have regular debates with my mother where I stand up for the fact that women and men are completely and entirely equal. But I still love boobs. In fact, that’s a large (ahem) part of the reason for the evolution of their shape.
Image triggers enjoyment. It’s no reflection on a person’s attitude towards other genders, it’s healthy, normal, and awesome.
And there are plenty of half-naked men around, people just seem to complain about them less… now that is sexist.
