Popo is a woman of mixed feelings towards her life, she is shunned by the men due to her lack of accessories. This shunning sense forced her out of her comfortable life in the city where she became a person of the woods. Eventually her escapades allowed her to befriend the tribal clan consisting of Zina, Ubuntu, Juju, and Tafari. Their hospitality won Popo her heart and her vigor. Eventually she swore to take vengeance against those that outcast her and would do so in any way possible. This vengeance took the shape of a special poison concocted from the venom of snakes living in the tribal village. From then on Popo became a warrior that would poison her victims if any should cross her path.

I think Popo was intended to be male, but drawn as female. Or maybe the artist just wasn’t sure, so he thought he’d play it safe…
