Funny thread. Probably looking too much at places.
I think Oxbox is actually inspired by Techno Viking meme, look at that pointing finger and general appearance.

Sophie Merovingian is a reference to the character Sophie in the Da Vinci Code. She works as a Cryptologist, and helps Robert Langdon, the protagonist Symbologist in the book. She’s also a descendant of the Merovingian family, a high-class family of France.

Thanks TDM; I have seen that around the older forums as well, but never got around to figuring how it linked.
I have added it under the Sophie inspirations, and listed you as a contributor.
Edit: I have linked all the contributors to their appropriate inspirations that they have found.

Parrot Torpedo (Darla Cross) is conceivably a reference to American Civil War artillery. There was a piece known as the Parrott, and it fired elongated ammunition, like a torpedo, rather than ordinary cannonballs. In fact, Parrott (the inventor of said artillery) is as famous in name for the ammunition of his weapons as for the weapons themselves. And in that time, the term ‘torpedo’ meant an explosive with a timed fuse, and mines were also called torpedoes. When David Farragut said “Damn their torpedoes!” he was referring to mines.

based on how Ambrossia holds out her fist like that, Spectral Choke may be based on the force choke from Star Wars.

Alright, thanks guys.
As long as people keep providing legitimate inspirations, I will continue to add to or replace older insiprations with new ones.
I will try to check on this thread at least once a week, and cycle through any newer posts for legitimate inspirations.
And,I thank you all for your helpful contributions.

Once again, something comes to my mind.
Rathbone and Marquis Le Morte both have moves which reminded me of my old Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition Psionics Supplemental Handbook.
Life Drain, though very generic in nature, is like the Psychometabolic Science “Life Draining”. Touching an opponent transfers health directly from them into you.
Rathbone’s Domination might also be fairly general, but given what Rathbone is like as a character, it would not surprise me if the Telepathic Science of the same name was an inspiration for that move. It causes an opponent to bend to the will of the psionic user (in this case Rathbone), forcing them to do things against their own will, and do what the dominant fighter desires. Spells and even actions may be interrupted by such an attack, but the attack itself causes no direct damage. And Rathbone is known as the Betrayer, thus it would not surprise me if this is why Domination causes Rathbone’s opponent to attack their teammate.

I think that Ambrosia looks a little like Blood Rayne

It could be something; it could be nothing. I just gave it a shot

Darla is like the Red Headed Wench
She is from the auction in Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

this is a bit of a long shot (pretty sure it’s not the first time it’s used) but in the “agent 86” show, the dog fang is called several times agent K-9 (or something like that, it’s really old)
