What’s the purpose of this thread?
To encourage the developer of Kongai to add new features and update a solid game.
Lets see what tyrant offers that Kongai doesn’t:
PvE
More cards
Certainty – no 90% chance to hit nonsense
Active Developer Support
Real Tournaments, with rewards
Fully Developed Storyline
Oh yeah, and it’s more profitable for gamestop.
Dispute over your rock/paper/scissors claim: You once claimed that you crafted Kongai to be the most balanced, modern card game out there. However, certain items and characters are favored over others, and a few (MLM) get almost no use.
Please address all of the above issues with Kongai.
That’s all.

One example of how it the game’s been sitting around even with imbalances.
Agree. If you’re going to let the game sit, at least have players get a way to get all the cards.
It’s really simple:
(1) PvP only game plus
(2) 1% and 0.1% chance to obtain cards beyond your first 10 equals
(-) No players and a dead game.
Kongai today is wasting server space.

Have you signed the ‘Bring back card challenges’ thread?

Sawblade vs. Angelwing- [Scenario 1]: flying avoids hit, does 3 damage. [Scenario 2]: Doesn’t evade hit, gets 2 damage, still deals 3 damage when cooldown comes in.
Sure chance in tyrant has room for improvement. But this is a comparison thread. Certainty in knowing that Angelwing vs. Sawblade solo is a 100% win for Angelwing: Tyrant 1, Kongai 0.

One card can 100% another card. Cool.

Yet you’re only proving my point. Amaya casts shadow curse, CC misses seven times in a row is possible, Amaya wins. Flipside, CC pilebunks amaya twice, wins. Even better: CC casts pilebunker 7 times, misses 6/6 times (Amaya doesn’t even cast a curse).
- Not to mention you can create an entire deck of Angelwings to counter a sawblade spam
- Not to mention that in kongai the “enhancements” (items) vary so much that certain items are vastly OP to others.
- Not to mention that I have from experience beaten Amaya with CC (both full HP) and CC with Amaya (full HP) based on sheer chance.
Thank you for strengthening my position.
Please continue to neglect the other reasons why tyrant replaced kongai too. I guess you are saying that kongai shouldn’t be updated right?

Tyrant Replaced Kongai.
Then something else will, and so on.
Most of these games can’t survive more than 2 years or so.

Amaya Ninja ports at close range, CC can’t pilebunker.
Thank you for looking like tool

Tyrant = Grinding with “some” Luck involved
Kongai = Largely Luck and Strategy

Tyrant is almost 100% luck once you get in a game. I hope my card regens this turn. I hope my card strikes the right card. I hope I get this card early. Etc, Etc, Etc. Hell, in tournaments (and raids to a point) the luck begins before you even enter a game. I sure hope my Fear deck doesn’t get paired up with a rush deck.
In Kongai, there is a lot more room for skill to show through.

I do believe Kongai requires a lot more skill than Tyrant, that is for sure.
Because in Tyrant it is all about your cards.
However the intercept function in Kongai makes this game about skill :)

I think a huge part is on Tyrant, you just click enter a match and youre in and then each turn is quickly clicking one card…in Kongai you need to decide whether to switch out, intercept, rest, or which attack to use in this situation, and it just takes so long that most people won’t have the patience to think it all out. Kongai is a great game, but its too complicated to catch on with the masses who want a quick game they can log onto, click around a lot without thinking, and win.

Those ‘masses’ don’t seem to be the intended audience then.
It would be changing Kongai into something else

I would like Tyrant more if there wasn’t so much luck involved. i’m at the point where I can’t go any farther without actually paying for much better cards. Kongai actually involves skill and you can get cards and items from challenges.

kongai is pure luck. guessing, including intercept, makes no sense to be called “skill”, unless you are Charles Exavier.

You uh, obviously haven’t played the game for any significant amount of time. Go to David Sirlin’s website and search for his articles on Yomi.
