Orgins of the Kongai Characters

Okay everyone, first off, this isn’t a fictional story thread, I’m looking for refrences that point to the orgins (the insparation) behind the Kongai characters.

Also: Keep in mind that Anex is more perfect of a match that most will be. Look for close simmilarities, not perfect matches. Gender, name, body features, they all might change, but a good example should be undebatable. It should be an Ah Ha moment.

First off: Anex…

Anex is Xena, the Warrior Princess, from the television show of the same name.

Proof: Anex is Xena spelled backwards, both are warrior princesses, and both wield chakram (the circular blade.) Also semi proof is in their hairstyles and the scream that Anex seems to be in.

Second off: Vanessa Voss

Voss is Blade, the Marvel comic and movie character.

Proof: Both Voss and Blade are called “Daywalker.” Both are vampires, with uncharacteristic immunity to light. Both use light as a primary weapon, along with a katana. Both wear sunglasses. Other comparison that isn’t PC: Both are black. (Sorry, its true, don’t be angry with me)

Pheobe as hybrid of Ivy and Elene (unofficially ruled as a multi

Ubantu as Richard Stallman (still would like thumbs up from Sirlin)

MLM as Marquis Le Sade (Okay, I’ll give!)

Plausable

Onimaru as Yoshimitsu (If only we could nail down the looks, or something with the spirits)

Debunked (Currently, but anything may change)

Rumiko as Ibuki (I need more convincing, too many other options)

Helene as Cassandra or Sophitia (again, there is no shortage of half naked women with swords)

Cain as Kain (I don’t see anything concrete)

Higashi as Heihachi

there are a lot of black people in that movie.

Yoshiro is obviously based on Ruy from video game street fighter.

Proof: Uses similiar moves. Chi Blast is Hadoken and Rising Dragon is Sho-Ryu-Ken. Also both look like same.

I’ll confirm that Sirlin did have a few inspirations for a few of the Kongai characters, and you guys are pretty much dead-on so far. Not that they’re really that subtle, though. :-P

With my recently developed double chin and my rapid hair loss, I think I’m setting myself up pretty well to look like Higashi in a few years.
