New variation on the brawl crash phenomenon:

Was sitting at the “waiting for players” screen, and got one of the standard black boxes…but then after seeing the black box, the above screen loaded. Game was then locked with loss of kong chatbox.

update. it blocks tactical attacks aswell. lost 70e battle coz of that _

My turn. Can’t play a card. Game is still responsive, I can toggle the log, look at cards, I can send and receive messages to/from fellow league members…but I can’t play a card by double clicking, and single clicking only gives me a “close” option, not a play card option. Waited 8 minutes to see if it would recover. It never did.

Note also that this was my very first match of the play session, and it was a mission rather than a brawl. The game is obviously leaking memory all over the place, but this being the first match, you’d think it would be relatively more stable.

I’m not sure if this is intended or not, but the non-stop ability to copy fire badged cards doesn’t work properly when used with Knees and Elbows. I just had a duel where Knees and Elbows pulled Fire From Within. The original fire from within then went into my opponents deck and a second one appeared as if it was going to copy it. The copy did zero damage (it didn’t say -0 though) and went straight into my depletion pile.

Day or two ago after i Leveled i joined a issue fight and the game lost connection and when i came back I had 19 energy so i lost over 700 energy in 1 fight, and today, I leveled and I did a 40 energy fight with my full 800 energy, and after winning that fight I had 9 energy left. So that is two times the game has bugged, and taken away all my energy ptting me over 20 hours away from leveling again, dropping even further behind. Had tons of fun on the game and hope you guys get these small bugs ironed out. Time to move on, good luck.

I just had a level 140 player in my league completely leave the game because he disconnected after leveling…and lost all of his energy. And this happened to him two days in a row.

Is it just me, or is “Faster than the Eye” bugged? I’ve used it successfully on both Mad Confectionist and Conservator and despite doing damage on them, and seeing it appear in their profile, when I check the damage log, they receive no -damage, and do full damage to me.

Just been to a brawl.. used “Brake Beat” (an unstoppable attack) a few times in each of my battle against diffrenet oppents, and in each of them the damage was blocked like a normal attack.. made me lose the drafts, wtf?!

msaar: have you checked your class badges? I had mine reset on me yesterday, which means lots of things that I’m used to triggering haven’t been.

On the Bubble bug (or maybe it’s working as intended):

if depleted on your turn, you only get to play an additional threat on your next turn; i.e., you only get 1 turn benefit out of it.

In the new brawl, I just played Blind Fury. It hung in the air like it was played but did nothing. Then it returned to my hand.

In mega brawl myself and one other player drew our cards on our turn but could not play, they hung as if you would look at them on another’s turn, then at the start of my next turn I got a “play an additional threat” msg though I had not played a card. Later that same round another player had their turn start but did not draw a card.

I just leveled, got disconected, and now i have no energy. Normally i wouldnt care, but thats six megabrawls plus itd let me level again after a full recharge. Now i have to wait to fully recharge twice before i can level. all in all costing me hours and hours of megabrawls…

I was just in a duel in which my opponent was somehow gaining 10 shield and playing an additional threat (without actually playing one) each turn. This only happened near the end, the first part of the duel was fine.

So far iv had my BiL crash my mega brawl with 10 cards left 4 times.. really sucks cuz its a waste of E, time, Brawl points, and Lc for me.. Trying to go for certain rewards just seems impossible when i am forced into losing so many battles due to frozen brawls :*(

Bug tracking information

Was in a megabrawl that locked. The game was still responsive, not flash crash, and everyone was able to chat. The following sequence occured:

1) Player X was directly in front of the brawl boss in the turn order
2) Player X played a card
3) Player X “selects an additional thread card” appeared in my log

At that point, a few minutes went by while nothing happened. We spent this time chatting. All of us in the brawl were still able to chat with no difficulty. The player tried playing the followup card, but couldn’t. So, he offered to refresh his browser.

The moment he did the brawl resumed. The boss was able to begin his turn and the rest of the brawl proceeded as normal.

The implications to all this are:

1) It appears that the server is waiting for a response from the client to indicate that the 30 second wait has elapsed. Consequently, any client-side flash problem can cause an entire brawl for 5 people to hang. This is not good.

2) It’s likely that the source of the problem was a disagreement between client and server whether the player was required to play a second card. Player X’s client seemed to think his turn was over, so was not processing the 30 second timer. And the server and everyone else’s clients seemed to think it was still his turn and so was waiting for him to complete it.

2 is the source of the problem. However, 2 doesn’t actually need to be a problem if #1 is resolved. For example, if you simply have the server keep track of the 30 second timer…the “problem” is solved whether or not you actually ever find the actual bug, because any time a client/server disgreement like this occurs, the server simply waits 30 seconds then tells all the clients, “Too bad. You’re done.” The worst that happens in this case is that sometimes a player will see on his screen that he still has a second or two left and that time gets cut short. That is vastly preferable to entire brawls full of 5 people completely hanging.

If, for reasons of server load, or general code architecture, it’s impractical to have the server track that, then you can have the clients all track it, and if any of them conclude the 30 seconds is up, they can send a “time is up” request to the others for processing.

This can totally be handled simply by using good coding conventions and adding failsafes to things. You wouldn’t design a nuclera reactor so that if the power gets cut off, the city explodes. Don’t design your code so that if a trivial timing error occurs, every player in a brawl locks up.

I joined a mega brawl event and although I could chat with all other players I couldn’t see the progress of the brawl or play cards from the very beginning of the brawl.
Edit: This has now happened twice, although once was in the middle of the brawl and chat also became disabled in an odd fashion (I could type into the box, but the message wouldn’t appear in the chat history). In the first case, I suspect the game, and in the second it looks more like a flash player issue.

if i have 2 or 3 “neighborhood watch” cards in my hand they all jump(being used) on the first ally card they see instead of only one of them.

Starting a MB and seeing all 5 players (including me) ready i press the “start” button and some of the players are out of the battle(1 or 2).I may have been on the other end of this when getting a message “brawl disbanded”.

One more thing there is too much points needed to get even 1 prestige pack i’m level 80+ and i feel like i have no chance of reaching it

…and just happened again, and we now have people deliberately trolling other players with this:

Guy sat around and made us wait for 5 minutes before eventually conceding. And as soon as he did, the brawl resumed. In the previous freeze, the guy locking up the brawl sat around and waited for other people to give up, forcing a loss because the two of us left couldn’t win on our own.

Please fix this.

I also had 2 hang-up games, of which i was the offender. Any chance to get some bonus energy or something for this? it’s really quite a bummer, especially when we are doing really well in the brawl.
