As they have mentioned, lack of funds and time is the issue why no changes has been made.
The best we can do is to give support (financially if possible and morally if not) and continue on playing while trying to make sure we can keep our small number intact. When a new player comes in, don’t slam them down. Teach them. Train them, make it worth your time to actually see them grow.
As I have said, be glad the server is still up.

Actually I think playing with and against better players is among the best ways to learn if the noobs and wannabes don’t get over excited and rage quit or surrender prematurely.
With regard to matchmaking, among problems I’ve seen is high ranking players that lobby drop and then join back on the other team. If you don’t have a vote button, you can always vote with your feet. If the good players lobby drop to join a game without noobs, we just have to train the noobs to also lobby drop and follow them to their new team maybe.
If there were sufficient effort to make a simple change, what would be nice would be a difficulty button/slider, where if you put it to the lowest setting it is limiting you to playing with and against people very close to your rating, so the noob should end up in a team of noobs against a team of noobs, but it may take much longer for a game of this sort to form especially with only 20-30 players on. And the same selection for 1300 may pair them only with 1250-1350. And at the other end, the high difficulty would be as currently, allowing pairing with a wide range of player rankings with faster game start but more potential for stacked games.

I think that i am now done with Vorp also. I spent a lot of time playing and getting to level 26, the fun is gone..along with all the players. The server wait time is terrible at times, team mates that dont listen or want to work together, idiots working exploits in the game, no modes or boards or options…the list goes on. They had a great concept here, but alas, they pissed it away.
Good luck all!

Played this game for first time today – fun game – but being a new player people are rude – perhaps this is why this game is dying.

Just find some people who are good to others; we may be few, but we’re mostly accommodating. But, learn fast… as you have said, they don’t take too kindly to newbies.

Well apparently I’m not the only one. “Is it me or is the community just unfriendly? You join a game and everyone is like: omg leave he’s a noob omg we’re gonna lose QQ. Kinda ruined the game for me” one of the top comments on this game.
and lol after my second game I said gg in kong chat and was called a jerk by hamish whom I had just played against.

This is the biggest problem in this game. From start up it was.
But the Developers never added Newbie Protection in any way. And that´s it what lets this game diing.
If the Developers would program one of the few ideas i told them already the community would growth.
But they dropped the game now. To bad for us all

Should it matter? gg is just a common sign of respect no reason to be insulted over.
Later – this game has no chance.

The situation was that the game launched 3vs2. Clay on the side with 3 and me on the side with 2.
After the match he said gg and I pointed out that a mismatched game isn’t really a good game for the side with less players and saying gg seems kinda jerky.

GG is much like all forms off digital communication, devoid of non verbal cues. In the absense of these non verbal cues, the indivudual will interpret the messages using their own current state. Generally, if you lose a game, in a very frustrating manner, GG could be interpreted as “HAHHAA, you guys suck on my hairyballsack, we CREAMED you good, go play solitaire or something”. If one had a fun game, then the GG would be interpreted in a much better light.
FWIW, if someone i dont know says GG after any kiind of game, I take it as GG, and leave it as that. If its friends, I usally know (correctly) that they mean the “go play solitaire” comment, but that’s because those are the kind of friends i end up with :)

repsow is a great guy, if you play with him you know hes pretty fair about his assessments, and a decent player. Based on my prior knowledge, id have to say the other guy must be a real “awesome” person, his comments also help give clues as to his “awesomeness”. I ve given Respow (aka Spower) plenty of reasons to go all nasty with me over the last few months, but i dont think he ever has.
The other guy might be just a poor player, but honestly, you can be a poor player, and not be that detrimental to the team if you’ve played “some” solo and have a basic understanding of what the red and green stuff is, and a little knowledge of the ship you decided to play.
From my experience, there are more neutral or positive players than there are idiots in the game. Which isn’t bad considering the open nature of it.

Well, if what he says is true then I agree with spower lol. Leavers ruin the game, especially in 3v3 matches. Clay, I think you’ll experience this too eventually and see why he’s mad.
However, I’m not sure why spower is mad in this specific case, since he’s playing an alt which has no impact on his main rating. If you’re gonna go through all that trouble to make an alt and play with it, then just play for fun o_O
