The tool tips say that these prices change, so they appear to act like the stock market. Save them up until they’re worth a bunch then sell them all.

stock market meaning that the more the items on hand, the higher its price, while the more items on the market the lower its price. got to make a good market analysis here, though if i share the analysis result, the trend will go toward certain items mentioned as highly probable to be at the lowest amount of production.
