November 2011 to August 2012 comparison shots. I’ve been very hit and miss in that time, and while I’m happy to have lost that fat I’d like some more muscle to replace it with, but overall I’m pretty chuffed so far.

Good stuff, Billious! I wander around the house in my censor box, too. Look to be making good progress, though! Keep up the good work!

How do I balance my arm strength? My right hand is considerably stronger than my left hand (unless this is natural)
(I’ve been lifting dumbells, starting small, and slowly working my way up)

It’s mostly because the grey boxer shorts are a bit tatty, and I believe in fair and equal representation of underwear.
Mansmany, just start consciously doing things with your left hand as much as possible until it’s equalised.

PM me with your personal goals and I can get back to you very quickly with some very detailed arm-exercises to meet them. :)

Hey TGH, what’s your opinion on benching, squatting, and rowing 3x a week. With OHP and deadlifts on alternate days.
also
>tfw calve and quad doms

It’s not bad – are you doing them on the same day? (Just to clarify)

None, unless you’re recovering from surgery. And most of those, as far as I know, are catabolic.
EDIT A good diet, a proper regime and good old-fashioned hard work can definitely make up for the lack of steroids. Especially in terms of long-term usage, they’re just not worth it.

Yes, I’m basically modifying the original SS routine to have more frequency.
So it’d be like
xAxBxAx (alternate b and a every week)
A:
-Squat
-Bench
-Row
-Military press
B:
-Squat
-Bench
-Row
-Deadlift
etc etc

That’s not a bad routine. If it works for you, that’s all that matters.
Something I like to do is work muscles that compliment eachother on the same day. In example
(Same day)
AxBxABx
A
Clean and Jerk/Burpee Combination. 10 Burpees and 10 Clean and Jerks (@ 200 lbs) for 3 rounds.
Standing Bent Over Rows
Deadlift
Log Lift
Standing Dumbbell Lateral Raises
B
Squat
Tire Flip
Tire Drag
Uphill Tire Roll (don’t try without competent spotters and a lot of experience)
Yoke Steps – Hold the bar on your back and step onto a high Box repeatedly.
Uphill Log Yoke
Pushing my F100 around the parking lot in circles (with a driver).
x is Rest Day.
These are just a few core examples of a lot of the exercises I vary, but they’re fairly obvious examples.

Rather similar to Strong Lifts

Thanks hammer. If my 20-something brother ever gets his driver’s liscence the pushing of a car sounds like a good idea.
Yoke steps seem a little dangerous without a spotter.

It’s more similar to babylover’s starting strength than stronglifts

Definitely, Zam. I have a trained team of fifteen men (six on light days, seven on heavy days, with a few extra bodies in case someone can’t make it) running on my schedule to help my training regime. Spotters are immensely important. Take time to develop relationships with people, particularly capable people, for one day you’ very well may need a few spotters throughout the day consistently.

TGH, I had a really bad cold yesterday and I kept sneezing (like 20 times in a row) and my upper left back started to hurt. It’s still hurting a little bit today. Tips?
