Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, California, Alaska (I can’t really decide the order of the bottom 3).

Washington
Hawaii
California
Oregon
Alaska
The last 3 are interchangeable really, but Washington is definitely the best and Hawaii is definitely second.

I don’t know much about them (except California and to a lesser degree Alaska) but here I go
1. Alaska
2. Hawaii
3. Oregon
4. Washington
5. California
This is mostly based on amount of wilderness proportional to cities

I’ve never been to any of them, so I can’t rank them with confidence.

It’s not that bad to me. I love rain, and the cool air is refreshing. I love the beautiful Cascade Mountains and the dense forests too. :)
Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon aren’t pretty though. It’s all brown hills and fields on that side.

Well, I guess it’s kind of pretty. I would be depressed if I lived there though, and I felt very homesick when I was in Eastern Oregon for a few days.

(Western) Washington attributes:
-Great coffee, and general cuisine; salmon also, nowhere but Alaska, Washington, and Oregon can you get decent salmon.
-Excellent tech sector employment opportunities
-Great weather for 6 months, okay weather for 6 months
-People are nicer than on the East Coast
-Not much crime
-Beautiful
Maryland attributes:
-Shitty weather 10 months, good weather 2 months
-Close to DC, which sounds pretty cool
-Comparatively high crime
-I don’t really know much else about Maryland

You only think coffee sucks because you haven’t had any good coffee. (Or you just don’t like it. That could be too.)
Maryland has the best crab, I hear.
Md. has superior education
We have fine higher education, which is what really matters. Seattle (so presumably all of Western Washington) also has one of the highest literacy rates in the country.
