Instead of PG-13, it should be PG-10.
Instead of NC-17, it should be NC-14.
Instead of R, it should be R-16.
I’d be able to legally watch porn movies sooner :D

Sound argument.

I have no response.

The ratings systems provide a guideline and their ratings are not legally binding.

Alternate suggestion: They should stay the same, because they don’t matter anyway.
Does anyone ever actually follow them?
I never did.

Let’s abolish it entirely.

Too bad every movie theatre abides by it

Lol, people too young to legally rent stuff want it lowered so they can get it earlier.

We can’t have our children watching things like that. Pretty soon the entire populace will be murdering and raping each other to no end. It’d be a hell on earth scenario.

You can get into R-rated movies if accompanied by someone who is not a minor, although.

Same with buying M-rated videogames.

Or you could just sneak in.
They don’t really seem to care.
As long as you buy a ticket to something it makes no difference.

Some are; you must be 18 to legally enter an R movie,
your parents must be with you if you are under 17 and are watching an NC-17 movie.

My nearby movie theaters started checking who was inside the theater. They ask every viewer inside to see their ticket.

I’m not so sure about that.

Anyway, yeah, it’s just a guideline and not legally-binding, really.

Even though Call of Duty is rated 17+, you’re going to find a lot of immature kids and teens screaming about over the microphone on it.

Yeah, it’s kind of stupid. I’ve been watching rated R movies with my family since I was about 10, and they’ve never freaked me out before. I hear the F word hundreds of times a day at school too, and I don’t know why a movie would be rated R just for saying that word a lot.

How can you guys say it wouldn’t? I’ve seen statistics about it and it’s shown that kids under the age of 18 that are exposed to violent material are significantly more likely to commit murder. Typically after 18 you stop changing so you won’t “bring in” the violent tendencies that are very common in computer games.

Okay, now I know that you weren’t joking. I—I really don’t know what to say…

Think about it this way…

“You can’t buy this movie ticket, therefore we will not take your money.”
What business wouldn’t want to take your money?

Thanks to this profound suggestion, I’ll remember to allow my future children to watch pornography and extreme horror movies with me.

So it doesn’t matter around here, they don’t give a fuck, I don’t give a fuck, no one gives a fuck!
