Note: If you’re young enough you’d be put in foster care the government doesn’t want you.
I would buy a $500 a month apartment, get a job at mcdonalds.

I’d live with my best friend and I’d get a job and move out when I have enough money.

Damn it.
Buy all the essential things needed to live, and keep me out of boredom.

There is a missing word.
The word can either be but or that.
If you’re young enough that you’d be put in foster care, the government doesn’t want you.
If you’re young enough, you’d be put in foster care, but the government doesn’t want you.
The first means that you should be put in but aren’t, the second means you are put in but you aren’t wanted.

Live with one of my friends, get a job at mcdonalds, after a few months I would get a better job, and then, when I have at least 40k in savings I’ll move out and rent a house.

Ask NAV for a job, and live in the same house as I used to. Using the 10K to pay the bill while waiting for getting the job (which shouldn’t actually take that long).

Keep going to college.
At this point because of them all dying I would probably be able to go for free.

Buy an apartment for $500-$600, $700 if there is no infestation, (warm) water and electricty. If I am desperate enough, I would pay for a re-innovation of the small apartment the church gives for a dirt cheap price in return for service (helping with maintenence and such). I would migrate jobs until I turn 15, where people of such age are allowed to work at Mcdonalds, and possibly free food or a discount. After that, turn 16 and get another job at a movie theatre. Once I make back or maybe even double the amount I had At this point, I would buy a cheap stove, no more than $200 so I can use those 25 cent noodles. Keep working and eventually buy more necesities, and eventually luxaries.
Of course, this could take a long time, and not even work.

Continue going to college. I could finish my education for about $5000.
The other $5000 would be enough to pay for rent, utilities, food and gas for about 3 months. I could just continue my job and still have plenty to spare, as I am already self-sustaining without my parents anyway.
Not to mention my Dad’s life insurance policy.

Make sure the government takes none of it, first of all. Then I would get a big boat, find the city of the mole people, and use them to rule the earth. Simple.

You have starving children to fix first. Don’t forget the starving children.
