The sweetest part about this DLC is probably that it adds (well, it was suppose to, I’ll have to wait and see the wiki updated) a new perk tree and a new weapons type. This means the modders can dissect the .esm/.esp file to be able to create their own perk trees and weapon types.

The Creation Kit is powerful, but woefully unintuitive. Also, fuck Havock Behavior files. Fuck them I say.

Totally this. I haven’t seen the new editing kit for Skyrim, but I’ve worked with Morrowind’s and Oblivion’s and neither of them were very intuitive.

My favorite thing about dawnguard is:

All of the butthurt sonyfigs and PCfigs saying things like “lol have fun with your month of beta testing, xbox!!” and “lol when we get the sequel to skyrim, it will have fewer bugs!!”

Its like they are unaware of how butthurt they sound when they say those things

I recently switched from my PS3 copy of Skyrim to the Xbox 360 copy just to play Dawnguard and Im happy with the XBOX 360 copy because of less glitches and my custom soundtrack ;)

Dawnguard offers tons for someone to play. For one if you join the vampires there are multiple ways to end the quest on that side. You can travel a part of Oblivion called the Soul Cairn and find out more about necromancers and soul gems. On top of the you can gain a bow that belonged to the gods and find out where the Falmer came from. On top of that you gain a perk tree for killing people in the Vampire Lord form. You also gain one for werewolves as well. Another way the quest can end is you use the bow to block out the sun. You also gain a new support character who is a vampire and a whole new league of vampire themed spells and powers. Also they introduce a new summoned creature. The dawnguard are a league of vampire hunters that used to hunt daedra worshippers. They allow you to gain new enchanted armors and weapons to use. Whats amazing is that the crossbow still works with perks from the bow skill tree. Also as a member of dawnguard they have armored trolls fighting for them and on the vampires you can gain hell hounds to fight along side you. You also gain a castle as a home to make weapons and feed on humans. This leaves the world open to even more quests than before as more vampire quests occur and random happenings of rogue vampires and dawnguard will attack you in towns. So if you say this game has nothing for you then don’t get it, but as you can see from what I list above it gives you many new ways to play the game and to experiment with the new quests and abilities they provide.
