Or when they just show up and come in with a search warrant, and it’s too late to react.

Your search warrant point is valid, though. How and why they would acquire a search warrant is beyond me, but it’s possible.

You could of hypothetically went to a certain site, where something went wrong.
Or you could of slipped up and said something that’s completely hypothetical to your parents or friends who then freaked out at whatever you just said, or whatever they found. And then that might grant them a search warrant, or just something like that.
