For discussing chemistry! I’ll update the OP occasionally with chemistry-related stuff.

Gaseous methane will react with gaseous oxygen to produce gaseous carbon dioxide and gaseous water . Suppose 0.32 g of methane is mixed with 1.93 g of oxygen. Calculate the maximum mass of carbon dioxide that could be produced by the chemical reaction. Be sure your answer has the correct number of significant digits.

I haven’t taken chemistry in 3 years. Got a class coming up in January. Not particularly looking forward to it.

Oh my, that’s so easy
In my chemistry class, i have to solve things like “CH4 + O2 = ?”, and it’s really confusing for me

CH4 is methane; it’s a simple combustion reaction. PRoducts are H2O and CO2.

I’m just going to go out on a limb here and guess.

CH4 + 2O2 → 2H2O + CO2
