never happened to me.

today I went to my kitchen to get a drink walked in forgot why I got up walked back to my desk then realized I didnt’ get my drink

I always go in, look for something to eat, not find anything, then look again 5 minutes later to see if something new magically appeared.

I do that all the time. Sometimes I’ll be wandering around the kitchen, and I won’t even realize that I’m doing that.

I look around to see if I should happen to NOTICE something I’d missed. It’s a subtle, but important, distinction.

That comic is inaccurate, the woman is not in the kitchen.
