If so, what books are your favorites, and what kind are they?

I’ve never read (books) all too much.
I’d say that’s because of how our “reading” program was taught to us.

But aside from that, I’ve never found books I cared to read.
The only books I’ve actually read were Hatchet and it’s successors. And that was only with a Audio-book to go along with the book.

Maybe I’ve changed and got rid of the horrid “reading” they drilled into us in elementary school.
Once I can get a library card or some money, we shall see.

I would read if I have no other things worth doing. I do enjoy classical literature very much.

The Space Odyssey and LotR series were the only ones that stuck with me.

The Prince and the Pauper and The Black Arrow were also pretty good.

I’ve read about 8 books this semester. Most have been sci-fi and fantasy. /lit/ has been convincing me to try the classic Asimov stuff.

I read too much…

Has anyone here read Terry Goodkind’s books? I’ve wanted to read them, but have been told they’re shit.

I actually heard great things, and I read “The First Confessor” and was thoroughly disappointed. Just stick to Hemingway, Bukowski, Palahniuk, Kafka, Poe, and recently an author by the name of Paul Neilan. You can’t go wrong with them :).

I read obscure and free ebooks from lonely people with too much spare time.
