Your science and “laboratory” experiments are no match for my magnificent spirit. If I want to beat your shit with a gold bullet, not only will I do it when I shoot it from a gun, I’ll also do it by hitting you with the bullet repeatedly.

Putting that aside, gold is harder than lead, and even lighter (although denser). Its melting point is also much higher than that of lead. I should think these things give gold some advantage over lead but I don’t know how it is in practice. Plus, there are plenty of other things to factor in.
