OT, what’s the best mile (1,600 meters) time you’ve achieved in your life?
My best is 6:03. It’s probably better than at least 90% of my school, but probably mediocre on the track team since people who join sports are already confident about their athletic ability.

It’s okay, babe, 8:03 not that bad. In fact, that’s probably better than the average depending on your age.

That’s really, really vague.
5 mins is pretty damn fast and 10 mins is below average.

My best mile is 5:37 on the spot. Its not easy, I had hyperventilate for 3 mins and focus, and breath very deeply hole time running. Takes a bit of training as well.

I have never run a timed mile. I remember that I managed to get my time on one kilometre below three minutes a few years ago and stopped watching the time after that when I started running longer for fun rather than to compete.
I had to manage 3 kilometres in under 12:30 a while ago in order to study sports and eventually finished my run at 11:52 without gunning it. So I’m probably somewhere around 5:20 to 5:30 right now. I’d have to train to find out what a good consistent lap time would be for me to set my pace accordingly.

It would be at least seven minutes or under if you only do one mile, though. Unless you’re some inhuman beast who can run all three consistently.
I have never run a timed mile.
Were physical education different back then? Through middle school onward, I have my mile time timed every year in a PE class.

6:40 was my fastest mile time in school.(4th or 5th grade, I forget which)
Other than the school ones for PE, I have rarely timed myself since then, but I imagine I am still about 7 mins/mile.

Mile time? never done any mile running.
I’ve done 4:32 on 1000m, though.

You get tired after a while and start running slower, so I think you reached 1 mile in less than 8 minutes.

The last time I had a PE class was freshman year, and I ran the mile somewhere around seven minutes.
If I ran it now, I bet I could run it in about six if I pushed myself.

I only had to do a timed mile once, in sixth grade. My school didn’t even have a PE requirement for 8th, 11th, and 12th grades.

I’d imagine you’d be fast because of the name.
