I'm Jacob Maxel, people call me Jake. I'm 17 years of age, but I don't exactly look it, you see, I've been serving a hard job for the past three years, and I think it might be useless to keep trying...

*CHAPTER ONE:* _The Gang_

A young boy, only 13, with long brown, messy hair and a tall, lanky body was running down the street. This kid was me, running away from John Lakkel, my older brother, he was trying to take back his 5 dollars I took. John was 15 and had shorter hair and a more muscular body structure, he was also faster, stronger, and better than me in almost everything. Almost. You see, I have a specialty about me, and that's pure luck. Every time I'm in a fight, I always manage to get away unharmed, whenever I jump a fence, I never fall off. I always win when I flip a coin, I always find money on the ground. That is my specialty. Pure. And. Simple. Luck. "Get back here!" Shouted John. He was gaining on me, and quickly. I saw my friend's house coming up, and tried to run faster. I tripped over my own feet and stumbled over, my brother didn't slow down in time and tripped over me, I felt his leg hit into my ribs and get caught on me, I then heard him piling out on the sidewalk. I got up and brushed myself off, seeing that he was also gaining his strength, I booked it to my friends house and jumped over the fence. I hid behind the small shed they have for a few minutes, to make sure I was safe, walked out onto the sidewalk, and checked my surroundings. I walked up to my friend's front door and knocked. Moments later, my friend Klyde opened the door. Klyde had long, blonde hair and an average body structure, and she was the smartest person I knew. "Hey" I said, "Are you coming over to Sam's with Brent, Triston, and me?" "Sure, be right out." She replied. I walked onto the sidewalk for a moment as she came outside. They headed down the strreet as Brent and Triston waited on Triston's porch for them. Triston Struuk was the muscle out of all of them, with slightly long, orange-ish brown hair and a heavy body structure, he was the strongest. Brent Alloyphran not only had the oddest name I had ever heard, he also had the oddest, well, the oddest everything! He had short, almost white-blonde hair, very pale skin, and almost pure black eyes he was the skinniest person I knew too, although he ate more than Triston sometimes. They both got up and walked out to greet us, 'Hi' was exchanged at least ten times before they chuckled and we started off to Sam's house. Samuel Eccorde was The very esscence of leadership, with a brown flat-top, a strong build, and his personality slowly molded him into the leader of the group. He walked out and we all stood by eachother on the sidewalk. The five of us. The Group, The Posse, The Club, The Gang, and we always were.

*CHAPTER TWO* _Stepping Stone of Dimensions_

The Gang and I walked down the street as Sam explained that they couldn't stay at his house due to his mom, who thought otherwise. I suggested we go into the woods and to our clubhouse, "My idea exactly." stated Sam. Our clubhouse was nothing more than a few boards and branches built around a span of trees, but it had stumps for tables and seat and provided good shade because of some overgrown bushes. We all sat down on their stump and then began talking, and they sat there and talked. We talked for nearly half an hour, deciding what to next. Then we ventured out, deeper in the woods. "So, should we go to the river?" Brent asked, "Duh, what else do we do anyway?" Replied Klyde, Sam just nodded and Brent just sighed, "It's true, it gets a lttle boring too." we all nodded in agreement.

We arrived at the river and Triston sat on a large rock, like he just about always did. Brent and I both went straight across it on the stepping stones, and then back, and across again. Klyde just leaned back and basked in sunlight while Sam sat against a tree in the shade. This was how it always went. But this time, something was about to change. Brent's foot hit a lose stone, and it broke free. He stumbled and suddenly seemed to get sucked into the very river itself, but his body didn't go down the river. I grabbed his hand, something strong seemed to be pulling him in, and it was pulling me in too! Triston and Klyde showed up first, Sam right behind them, and tried to help. Suddenly, we all got sucked right into the river. Into blackness. Into another dimension. I was lying back, in intense heat as I sprang to my feet "Where am I?!" I exclaimed. I looked around at my friends stirring and getting to their feet. I looked around in awe. I was in this intensive, vast world of mountains, and they all seemed to be higher than the last, they were just everwhere, they were the world itself. I barely even noticed that my friends were even up anymore. Or the fact that we all had some sort of armor with numbers on our chest. I looked around at my friends. We all had a number from 1 to 5 on the left of our chest and different colors of futuristic-looking armor, Klyde's was white, Sam's yellow,Triston's red, Brent's black, and mine blue. We were all looking at eachother, looking around, speechless. I was the first to talk, "What exactly just happened?" I said, they looked at me with a 'I wanna know the same thing' sort of face. I knew they didn't have an answer anyway. I started to walk to the edge of the mountain we were on and realized that there was a winding path going downwards. They all ganged up behind me. "Well" said Sam, "It's our only way to go anywhere." and so we ventured off into this odd world.
*CHAPTER THREE:*_Anexia_
"We we're walking down a path after falling through what seems to be a portal under a stepping stone, totally makes sense." Triston stated,"Well..." Said Sam, "Well... No, it doesn't." There was an awkward silence floating around us, settling itself. Brent finally broke that silence after about a decade, "So, we're walking down a big, spiraling path on a mountain. Reminds me of vide-" He was suddenly cut off by the sound of tumbling rock as Triston slipped out of sight, and half of Sam's body barely stayed on the edge as Brent rushes over to help. "Oh shit!" I exclaimed surprisedly, I rarely cuss. I rushed over and everything seemed to slow down as I grabbed onto Sam's back and pulled Triston back up, barely getting him up before my grip slipped loose and I tumbled back into a soft spot of stone and slid down a dimly-lit blur of colours. "Jake!" I heard a voice echoe... "Jake! Are you Okay?!" It was Klyde... I heard water dripping and the scratch of metal against stone. I opened my eyes and looked to see Klyde standing above me. I shook my head and got up, and sort of got rid of the slight headache I had.
Another voice echoed across what seemed to be an underground river "Who's out there?" I heard in an odd voice, all of us looked over to a creeping shadowy figure as it approached us. It came into the light, "Who are you?" It said again, although it's lips weren't moving, in fact, it had none. It was a human-like figure, but instead, it had 4 arms, pure white skin, and was nearly 10 feet tall. "My name is Anexia, who are you?" Sam was first to speak, "I am Samuel, and these are my friends, Triston, Klyde, Jacob, Brent." He said as he motioned to all of us. "I welcome you all," Anexia said, "How long have you been in Trech then?" I felt an odd sort of deja vu for some reason, although there was a questioning look and another awkward silejnce arriving to lie upon us all. "Do you not know where you are?"Anexia asked, Only to be answered by a few nods and our still confused faces.

Anexia led us to a better lit, more likeable room with a large open rock area to sit on with Anexia's fireplace flickering and she explained how this all worked. It really was like a video game, a Capture the Flag mission in the end. Here's how it works: There are many apon many different lands with with large towers in them that keep the very universe in balance, because the overmind of the universe has sent out his best people to keep these towers in check, but something stirred and arised. "A multidimensional revolt against great overmind," as Anexia stated, and it began to ruin these towers and put the very fabric of the universe out of line. Anexia says that we were probably ended up here to save the universe for the overmind. We were all stunned, "Wow, the entire universe is in our grasp?" Said Brent in awe. "Yes, that is what I think has occurred." said Anexia, and We were all just sitting there, jaws on the ground. My mind was racing, I was thinking about about twelve things at once, and it all came to the same thing: "Am I dreaming?" I didn't notice that I had said it aloud, "I'm afraid not," Said Anexia, "This is all very real."

*CHAPTER FOUR:* _Ready for Battle_

Anexia later led us into a more high-tech, a _lot_ more high tech. As I walked, the metal floor seemed to be stirring, rippling, and swirling every time we stepped. "What is this metal made of?" Sam asked Anexia, "A high-frequency of interweaving fibers of twisted atoms linked together. Sam's face was enough to explain what he said next "What?" Klyde took the time to reply, "It's metal, made like a fabric." Sam's face was still asking the same question. We moved on to a large booth, with numbers and calculations running across the glass plating on it's front and scanners everywhere in it, "Who shall be aided by weaponry and armor first?" We looked at Anexia. "Err.. I will." Sam said. "Step into here," Said Anexia "And then you might feel some odd sensations for a moment..." Sam stepped slowly into the pod and laid back. The calculations and numbers stopped, and the scanners seemed to go awry. The booth had a sudden, faint, yellow glow that disappeared as quickly as it came. The booth opened and wisps of steam piled out. There standing was Sam, in heavier, stronger, armor the seemed to shine. There was now plating over his wrists and forearms, and he now had what seemed like a high-tech dirtbike helmet, with a golden star embedded on it's forhead area. "Woah.." we all seemed to say, "What's _is_ that?" We were all looking at the large, glowing blade on his back. He pulled it off and held it in front of him. It had a blur to it's every movement, and the faster he moved it, the thinner and longer it got, while if he didn't move it too much, it returned to it's original form. "It is a general class plasma assault blade." Anexia stated knowingly "I'll go in next!" Brent exclaimed. He then walked in when Anexia motioned. The same thing happedned, an then with a faint black glow he stood there. He had a plated, scaly armor that reached around everything, and heavier padding on his upper legs and arms. He also had a weapon on his back. He pulled it off, with a trailing glow to it's movement. He twirled it. It was a long shaft of wood with two leaf-like glowing blades at either end. Before we had to ask, Anexia stated "A dual blade leaf naginato, stealth class." Triston stepped up to the plate, "I'll go next" he said as he walked into the booth. The scanners went mad an a red glow emitted. The booth opened and a large blow of steam came out. Triston walked off the booth in heavy armor, Every part of him was covered in plated metal, and he had a helmet that covered evything but his eyes and a thin line going down his face. He also had a large weapon on his back. He pulled it off and pulled the large weapon into his hands. It was a huge axe, it had a blade head about an entire 3 feet long, and then another on the back side at least a foot long. It also had a large spire on the other end of the handle for stabbing purposes. THis one also had an energy flowing through the axe head, making it blur when it moved. "Heavy class disruptor battleaxe." Anexia stated. I was next. I walked in, and the booth closed. I felt many pinpoint lazers and scanners going over me. I then felt it. I closed my eyes. A large rush of warmth ran over me, followed by an immense freezing cold. My muscles seemed to burst apart, my body seemed to be getting torn apart, piece by piece. But nothing hurt. It ended and a greater agility and strength ran through my veins The booth opened up... I stepped out as they looked at me. I was in A plated armor, though not as heavy as tristons, and I had a light amount of scaled armor on the open spots, but not like Brent's. I felt the weapon on my back and then pulled it off. The weapon seemed made for me. A chain of small, blue orbs connecting to one large star-like glowing head. It lengthened and stretched when moved quickly, but did the same as Sam's when left alone and returned to original form. "Energy flail, High Assault class." Anexia said. Klyde was last. She came out with a light armor, but it had stronger plates surrounding her chest, stomach, main arteries, and head. She had a long weapon on her back. She pulled it out, and found that it was a longbow, but with a bowstring the had the same plasma glow as the other weapons. She also had arrows with different colored glowing heads. "Longbow, Assault Class, Green arrows inject a poison, blue ones freeze up a destined area, and red ones make a small explosion or flame upon hitting. We lined up as Anexia directed us, one by one, through a small entrance into another room, which Anexia had to sort of duck in. She told us, "These will telport us to the overmind's current facility, where we can begin the mission. getting there will take approximately one year, in human time, but don't worry, inner devices will feed you nutrients and proper things that humans eat. It will be like one long... 'dream' I believe you humans call it." We walked to the corrosponing booth-like things and then got in. We all fell unconscious instantly...

*CHAPTER FIVE:* _Interdimensional Traveling_
I opened my eyes. It felt like I had been standing in that booth for a millenium. It opened and I saw a room that looked the same as the one that we were in before. The six of us walked out, everyone except Anexia stretching and twisting their backs. I noticed I was nearly an inch taller, and that my hair had grown a bit longer. _"It must've actually been a_ year _in there..."_ I thought to myself. Brent said "Damn, it's like I've been sleeping for a decade." Klyde, who was pulling her arms around the back of her head, replied, "Although completely illogical, I must agree, it seems like I've been sleeping for the past ten years." Triston nodded in agreement along with Sam and I. "Interdimensional traveling takes time over such large distances, and human bodies go into a trance-like sleep." Anexia said. None of us commented, but Anexia moved us into the next room. There were about ten dummies in the shape of human bodies made of the same fabric-metal like that one room before. Anexia said "This is the traning facility, I would like to see how well you can control the weapons the giver had granted you." Anexia stated, "I will demonstrate." Anexia pulled four sharply curved, serrated blades off hilts on her back and walked in front of the dummies. The dummies came to life and rushed at Anexia. With swift movement, Anexia cut through five of the bodies, leaving a trail of metal strands through every hit. She slide about as low as she could get and tripped up a dummy, knocking it another, then came up slicing two large cuts up another dummy's stomach and chest. She swiveled around to face the two dummies wtill standing, and then threw all of her blades, one hit a dummy's shoulder, another hit the same dummy's lung area, and the other dummy got hit in the stomach and neck. The dummies vanished as Anexia picked up the blades and put them on her back. We stood there with our jaws on the floor. "You will train against approximately fifty dummies, ten for each." Dummies swirled together out of thin air made of the metal fabric. We walked into the traning area, gettting our weapons ready. I then charged and swung my flail around, stretching out and hitting two dummies. A blue arrow hit the dummy in front of me, and it froze and cracked apart, I followed up and lengthed my flail more by swiveling on my feet and bringing it down upon a dummy's head. I then skidded behind a few dummies, I saw Triston cutting up to five at a time with large swings of his axe. Sam rapidly jumped around and shot through dummies, but Brent was even faster, taking out a dummy every two seconds. I proceeded to swing my flail through them. I wang a last time throough nothing, noticing that I was standing in piles of metal fabric. "Astounding!" Anexia's voice came from the backround. We high-fived in glory, as ouir first 'mission' was finished.

Chapter six is coming...
