Well Chiodos certainly isn’t brilliant, but they’re made exponentially worse by the vocals.

I have some problems with this too. Some songs by Lil Wayne And stuff have kick ass tune, but then the lyrics are just retarded, or Lil Wayne starts to talk in his high pitched annoying voice.

It’s Power Metal and he’s Japanese. The vocals are going to sound strange to someone who speaks only(I’m making that assumption) a western language and not an eastern language.

In my opinion, James Hetfield ruins Metallica (along with Ulrich). I wouldn’t call them brillant, though.

Boz Burrel voice in the album “Islands” by King Crimson wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t as good as the rest of the band. Robert Fripp had to teach him how to play the bass and sing at the same time…

Mark Hart, one of the two voices of nowdays Supertramp (he “replaces” Roger Hodgson) just ruined every single piece he had sung.
