Do you guys believe in greek mythology….i kinda do but its a bit farfetched. Zues the king of gods and all the other random gods… how many can you guys name?
No, but it is quite fascinating. Well, lets see how many I can name… Damn, can’t get my Roman and Greek deities straight xD |
Hercules! |
demigod Poseidon! and uh Hades!! |
Believe it? No. Enjoy it? Yes. I’ve always thought the stories were interesting and have a greek mythology book on my shelf in fact. |
Apollo, Bacchus or Dionysos (I can never remember which is Greek and which is Roman), umm…that’s pretty much it, I guess. |
athena and all the other character…i kinda believe it. i love the fact that they are immortal |
Greek Gods > Roman Gods. All i got to say about that even though they are basically the same gods. Greek gods were always chiseled and always pissed off at something. |
more true then the bible and the cathalic church |
Anything that has sex in Greek Myths are interesting like Oepidus. |
books say they were real people in the world but just immortal in just living a regular life with special powers |
By the gods of olympus! I command thine enemies die and all enemies seeking mw will perish horribly! |
Heracles (more commonly known as Hercules) had his share (“countless” to be precise)of male “relationships,” but if they put that in the Disney movie, it would be rated NC-17 or something :O |
I say we have a vote for the “busiest” god. I’d have to say Zeus… He raped some chick as a swan. Yeah. Greek Mythology is kinda weird o.0 Oh yeah… naming: |
Hephaestus was a bit of a dude |
Greek Mythology is interesting, with some excellent and epic tales. However no-one has believed it for ~2000 years. Around then the Romans absorbed it and eventually replaced both with christianity. Excellent stories lieve on however. As for bustiest god, I’m gonna say Athena. Greek God-Roman God Posidon-Neptune Ares-Mars etc. |
Demeter, Persephone, Artemis (Apollo’s twin), Cronos, Gaia, Hera, Thetis, Helios, Hestia… in addition to important gods and goddesses there are a whole slew of lesser functional gods, like Nike, the god of victory, who inspired a line of footwear you may have heard of. Plus, a bunch of demi-gods like Pan, the goat-god of the forest, who we named a flute after, other crazy immortals like the nyads and dryads, and you got some Titans, like Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Atlas, who has a really cool story and is being referenced any time you see one of those statues in a public square with a dude holding up a globe on his back. I love this stuff. :P |
have you guys played god of war 1 and 2? it kinda relates to some greek methology |
It BARELY relates to Greek Mythology. I personally like how the Greeks thought how the Universe began. |
It relates to Greek mythology in the same way that The Mighty Thor relates to Norse mythology. |
It does resemble a bit. Kratos is a son of Zeus. |
I don’t believe it either, but it’s more enjoyable than say Christianity. |
was kratos a god then??? or was he just a mortal god? |
Kratos was made up for God of War I think. I’ve never heard of him before then, but it’s easily possible he’s a minor character I’ve forgotten/missed. Interesting point, Artemis is god of the moon, and Apollo is her brother, and god of the harvest. So NASA failed in naming the missions. |
they should name their next mission zeus…lol |
