Just wondering – everyone knows about that really bad torture/abuse done by US soldiers in Iraq of iraqi prisoners.
if you were a US soldier in Iraq back then would you have obeyed orders or told you 5 star General BOSS to get lost? yes/no why or why not?

Don’t know about the General, but if my friends insisted that torture would be totally cool, I would actually be convinced that it’s a right thing to do at the moment.

No way. There’s only one person I would commit atrocities on. In bed.

why? why would you not? in the military you are supposed to take orders without thinking. that is drilled in you in basic training, don’t follow orders bad things can happen. if you are a Navy Seal its a different story though, you probably get to at least interject into the situation. they communicate as they move and shoot… and kill

Well I really wouldn’t want to, but your boss is likely to have a gun, being a soldier, and if he is the sort of person who wants to torture prisoners, then if you refuse he is likely to turn it on you. So, extremely reluctantly, I probably would.

I’d do it, but try to reach someone higher up about the situation I’m in and see if I can get an honorable discharge at the least.

No. A clean conscience is worth more than what a guard’s salary is.
