You purchased Everlasting and head out of the shop.
You wonder why you are here. Is it fate? Destiny? Or just simply an accident? You want to find out. The only person you can talk to now, is Adeline. You begin by simply asking her what the Rai family is.
“Oh, isn’t it amazing? A Kerrigan asking a Rai about their family? Well, let me tell you; Rai is an ancient Spellcaster family that traces back to the 240th year of the Electrum Calendar. We are one of the families in the Tranquility Circlet, a group of spellcasters from the 3 Ancient Families, Kerrigan, Rai and Saffron. In fact, Brendan is from the Saffron family. He’s an excellent sage.”
“Well, could you tell me more about Kerrigan?”
“Hmm… Why would a Kerrigan not know about it’s history?”
“I had amnesia.”
“Oh well, that suits your clumsy personality just fine. Well, Kerrigan started off as an occult organization. A man named Ryder had destroyed the organization with his epic pet, Folostrosis, and then realised the organization had many good materials for research in creatures. As such, he set up his family in the organizations, and over generations, researched many ways to train pets. However, people succumb and vanish in the flow of time and he passed on the knowledge to his son, which passed on his knowledge to his son, which passed on the knowledge onto his son, so on and so forth. Eventually, the Kerrigans possessed so much knowledge that they became one of the most powerful families in the history of Rikyuu. Of course, Rai and Saffron also had much history as well, but I think I’ll keep it for later.”
“Folostrosis?”
“Folostrosis is a Air-type dragon that Ryder found when he was 5. He had trained with him until he died. Folostrosis is now however, history.”
“Adeline! Derek! Where were you guys?”
“Sorry, had some trouble with rogues.”
“I found a place! It’s holding an Elementalist Competition and the grand prize is a sack full of electrum! Let’s join!”
“Well, alright…”
At the registration…
“Hello! We are team Adeline!”

“Which block would you like to participate in?”

“Hey Adeline, you really should check the participants before-”
“Congratulations, you have successfully applied to A Block. Enjoy the competition!”

40 minutes later…
“HELLO EVERYONE! I am G, your host for tonight’s matches! Isn’t it exciting? Today is the championships! First off, we have Team Adeline versus Team Ghost!”
“Tch, just some amateurs. I wonder if brother Gray is in the competition…”
“Ghost Team, ready?”
“Ready!”
“Adeline Team, ready?”
“Ready!”
“Alright then… Commencing opening of dimensional portals… complete! Please enter the portals.”
Both teams enter the portals.
“Ghost Team versus Adeline Team… Battle… START!”

The four of you had landed on your butts in a grassland. You see one of your enemies. You call Blue and Pip out.
“Materialize! Phoenix and Azure Dragon!”
“Materialize! Fairy Trickster!”
“Lend me your power, Airbuster!”
“Lend me your power, Everlasting!”

All four of you are equipped and ready for battle. Brendan charges forward, while Blue follows him. Another enemy appears in front of Adeline and slashes at her.
“Uh oh, I’m not gonna pay for your weapon! Freeze! Shockwave!”
The enemy’s weapon shatters into pieces, and he runs off, scared. Adeline just sticks out her tongue at the running foe.
“What a child…”
“Hey brat! I’m your opponent, Arthur!”
Arthur swings his hammer at Brendan, but is blocked.
“Heh… think that puny toy can stand against Airbuster?”
“HAH! Who names their weapons?!”
“Oh… A Sage that’s not even aware of it’s weapon’s name? I’ll teach you… Cry, Airbuster!”
A hurricane erupts from the tip of Brendan’s blade and sends Arthur flying away. A man clad in a cloak appears.
“Tch. Stupid teammates. I’ll show you the true power of Team Ghost!”
“I won’t let you.” Says Tiffany, as she smiles.
“Me neither.” You say.
“Fairy Trickster, use Flame Curse!”
A large ball of flame is conjured by the fairy. Pip and Blue feed their powers into it as well, and the fire grows humongous.
“Wait, let me join!”
Adeline throws a prism into the air.
“Don’t forget me as well! We’re all team Adeline, right?”
Brendan feeds even more air power into the fireball. Finally, it is launched. The fireball is so powerful it could tear down a mountain, plus the speed of a hurricane, and multiplied by 6 thanks to the Prism. Only the result of teamwork… maybe friendship, could have pulled of this move. The enemy is turned into dust, and the remaining enemies have fled.
“A great first win, huh? Our step to electrum is now ahead by one step.”
“WINNER! TEAM ADELINE!”

Finally, the four of you split paths and head back to your respective homes. You arrive at Gray’s house, and plunge into bed.
Soon enough, you fall asleep.
You had a dream. In your dream, you and Adeline were taking a walk at the park. The both of you kissed, and got married. Suddenly, Brendan arrives, brandishing a stick and almost beats you… then you wake up.

“SORRY BRENDAN I DIDN’T MEAN TO- eh?”

You wash up and realise it’s a Saturday. There’s no school. You have Brendan’s address, so you pay a visit.

“Hey Brendan.”
“‘Sup! Why’d you pay a visit to me?”
“Oh nothing. Just wanted to hang around.”
“Well, I could invite Adeline and Tiff if you wanna.”
“A’ight, sure…”
He materializes a cellphone. You haven’t seen one in this world at all.

Adeline walks through the front gate… Holding a basket filled with chocolate.

Wait a sec… It’s the 21st of April… Is that Valentine’s Day in Rikyuu?

She pulls your sleeve and brings you into another room… and locks the door.

You close them… you think something smexy is gonna happen. Her hands grab your face.

You can feel her breath. Your getting a boner. Suddenly you feel a really bad pain in your cheek and you scream.

“Hah! You actually thought I was gonna kiss you? Your really stupid.”
“Well… the close your eyes thing got me…”
“Hmm… I guess maybe someday I’ll kiss you. But not now.”
“And when’s that day gonna come?”
“Very soon.” She smiles. “Thanks for that compliment yesterday. For that-”

Tiffany unlocks the door.

“Now, now, calm down…”

By the way, I would like everyone to be slightly more specific about their characters, because It’s hard to tell what kind of personality the guy is, and by the way, you have to tell me whether he is a villain or a good guy. Plus, you cannot decide on what he starts off with, and I can twist the character any way I like… a.k.a DrOctaganapus2 becoming Flarenzo. Tqvm.

Chapter 3 Part 2: A Part-Time Job

“Dude… I’ll tell you what happened…”
You explain to him what happened.
“Alright… Fine. But your punishment is 50,000 Electrum!”
“DUDE HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA AFFORD THAT?”
“If you can’t get the electrum by August, I’ll rip your head right off! You got that?”

Brendan stomps out of the room. It seems he still a little jealous.
“You know, I could give you that electrum…”
50,000 electrum? That’s against my mental and circumstantial judgement… But… Yeah. Right. Y’know.
“I WOULD LIKE TO ACCEPT YOUR OFFER, MY MAIDEN, BUT IT IS AGAINST MY MORALS TO BECOME A GIGOLO.”
“Gigolo?” she giggles “No no no, I’m offering you a job!”
“A job?”
“Grinding quanta! In order to sustain the factories, the government erects pillars to catch any elements floating in the air and turns them into stone. In order to use the energy, you need to grind the stone into fine powder in order for it to be melted.”
Sounds a lot like coal on earth… Except you make the energy out of thin air.
“I wish Graith was a Light or Air city… There’s practically air and light everywhere…”
“Why not use coal or something? I heard Brimstone Eaters can generate coal out of eating rock.”
“That would be useful… If they didn’t become extinct 50 years ago, during the Great Elemental War.”
“I see… Then why not mine it?”
“The only place in this realm where you can get coal – or it’s nearest alternative, is Mount Hierro. It is called Hierro because it’s the only place where it produces Hierro, an alternative to coal.”
“I see… then how much is coal worth?”
“About 300 electrum per gram.”
Woah…
“Umm… Why don’t we go? You know, to mount Hierro?”
“The only problem is that it is protected by hierra golems, created by concentrated Hierro, Hierra. Hierra takes on a splendid appearance, much like a diamond on earth. Still, the best jewels can only be found on Earth.”
“Well, I’m pretty sure your magic can devastate the golems…”
“Hierra absorbs magic force and turns it into raw power, used by the golem to launch attacks and moves.”
“I see… Kinda like an anti-mage, eh? What about melee attacks?”
“Don’t think about them. Hierra is so strong it would snap…”
“Doesn’t that mean it’s weak?”
“Snap your blade…”
“Hmm… Our next tournament round is about to start soon… I’ll call Tiffany.”
“Wait, Derrick… A question… Who do you love more… me or Tiffany?”
