The 55 tank coins shown is a glitch in the ‘Upgrades’ shop screen. I’ve had this happen to me also, you didn’t lose any of the coins that you have already earned, you just saw what the game had in the Tank Coins ## slot, if your unsure of your current amount of tank coins just check the top of your screen for your profile, it always has the correct number.
