Whenever I want to see the ranking of everyone or BR, I can’t. I remember when everyone had a tyrant fansite account and it was the shit, like THE SHIT. It is 100 times better than the wiki (Love you Marshall), but it is lacking a lot. Like rankings for brawl or guild wars.
The community has to start a thread and update it on our own, which makes the players works for something developer should have done at the beginning.
It also rank guilds and their progress, CQ and faction wars. While BR is everything in this game. we should have another way to rank guild, too.
The warmetal wiki also got decks where the players simmed to help out newer players. (would be really helpful for mutants)

I believe the fan site for war metal tyrant on Kong used an api system. If the op wanted to get it off the ground, talking to the creators/administration of the site might be a great place to start?

I could see how this can build more loyalty and fanfare for the game. I use to do weekly write ups for a game called Ragnarok. Basically a recap of how the guild wars went, highlighting achievements and dramatizing conflicts. Interviews with top guild leaders with again, emphasis on conflicts. I love rivalry.
+1 bump

Using [To Dev] has no effect.

The fansite was a great tool. No idea if it would be possible to create something similar for TU tho.
On a side note, I think MK is working on a way to rank guilds more holistically, taking more into account than just BR.

Even though br is a starting place to rank, it can be VERY inaccurate, so another way to rank would be terrific

You can ask sss1 (the creator of the original fansite) here on Kong ;)

I guess Marshall isn’t part of the Devs team anymore?

I think devs wont give access to player info and faction info to anyone.
New fansite has no chance at all.
sss1 did the brilliant site. if I were a dev I would hire him.

I would too. I would make him my boss. TU + wiki =/= WMT + fansite. I really wish they did though it would allow the players know where they are and who’s actually good.

We don’t have sss1 or the resources.

out of curiosity what did you actually like from the fansite? specifically not just “it had more information hurr durr”
i personally liked how it told of where to get the cards, the % chance to get them, raid information, and the fact you could easily sort and find cards with skills. % chance to get them, where to get them, and raid information is basically irrelevant to TU. So imo the great thing would be a database. The one we currently have kind of sucks.

i rarely come to kong nowadays, so excuse me for late reply.
yes, i do have some free time and possible i could spend it on something like this. but i didn’t like original fansite experience in the part about communicating with devs. there were some, but it was so casual, that it’s safe to tell fansite was made without it. unless TU devs will clearly state they will support such project by sharing some basic info (including api calls) i doubt i will even think about starting.
p.s. does someone even play this TU these days? :D
